This is my second purchase of this soil, and I'm only buying this brand from now on.
The first time I bought this I loved it but thought it was a bit spendy, so this spring I used a cheaper potting soil from a well-known brand that rhymes with "spherical throw" to repot some of my houseplants and I ended up with a gnat infestation. So when I bought Fox Farms this time I was a little scared to open it and risk reintroducing gnats to my house, but I worried for nothing. This soil is clean and rich, how indoor potting soil should be. The only living things in it are beneficial bacteria and microbes, thank goodness!
For general purpose I mix at a 3:1 ratio with perlite and sometimes add a little gritty cactus soil for plants that need good aeration. My plants love it and thrive.
