This is my favorite new kitchen gadget. I always have a batch sprouting. It general it takes 3-4 days but you usually can eat some after 2 days. In AZ we have higher summer temps inside than the hot spot for sprouting but I still get great results. GEFU makes good looking products. This is actually nice looking on the counter. Most of the other sprouters are ugly and plastic. The way the seeds drain is a better system than other sprouters I have tried. The same seeds yield bigger sprouts out of this one than others I have bought from Amazon. I will probably get another one. A true 5 star product. Simple and works great!

Great size sprouting jar for my husband and I. I put one tablespoon of seeds in and it makes just enough sprouts for the two of us for about 3 -4 days. The stand is such a good idea. It fits conveniently on the counter without having to lean on something to drain. The glass container is a little thin so you have to be careful. The mesh lid hasn’t rusted which is a big plus. The only thing I would change is to make the glass jar thicker other then that I am satisfied !!

I used to have the multi-tier sprouting trays, but I wanted something more space-saving and perhaps a bit more attractive on my kitchen counters, so I purchased this sprputing jar.

It looks great on my kitchen counter and definitely saved a ton of space. Cleaning is a breeze. I read other comments about molding, but I have not experienced this problem and I never had that problem with the sprouting trays either. I think that if you rinse the seeds twice a day as the instructions tell you to do, you won't have mold.

As for the water getting traped, you can slowly tilt the jar slightly side-to-side to let the water drain out and problem solved.

I love this product and am contemplating ordering a second one so that I won't have to wait for another batch if sprouts. The only possible complaint that I have is the cost.

So I bought this as a test run, since most of the reviews were 5 stars. Now that I have done this particular sprouting jar a few times I have to say I am happily impressed! The sprouts tastes fresher than the freshest sprouts we bought from the Farmers Markets. It’s home made, that’s a plus. I’ve done Alfalfa sprouts for this jar, it’s a sweet and mild and crunchy taste, super delicious. The sprouts came out just perfect and crunchy! I’ve tried to sprout a few years ago and they always turned out smelly so I’ve given up on sprouts. Finding this jar now I had motivation to try it once more and I am beyond glad that I did. I’m so happy with it that I am currently purchasing my 2nd jar, and getting more organic Alfalfa seeds. The jar doesn’t rust as I’ve mentioned in the title. It’s as beautiful as when I bought it.

I’ve been using this for a few days after doing a lot of research on different seed sprouters. I was recently using a tray sprouter, but kept finding my seeds moldy after just 48 hours. NOTE that I do live in a hot, humid climate but keep the house approximately 70 degrees.

Mini sprouts, but they can’t possibly be finished? Should it be taking this long? It is a good sign that I have yet to smell or see any mold though.

Just pop the seeds in and leave to soak for several hours, then drain and turn the jar onto its base so it can continue to drain. Rinse once a day or twice a day until grown. I was surprised how well they grew even in a cold kitchen in December.
