Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

Its very easy to use once you get used to it. This is the first food processor I've ever owned, so I was very hesitant/worried at first. The instructions included as well as online videos were extremely helpful. It has (what I call them) a low clearance top which makes it easy to store, as well as the tall top with the tube chute. The disks are substantial (not flimsy).I haven't used all the disks and gadgets yet,and cannot say whether it lasts a long time since I just bought it, but it seems like a quality appliance. The only con: for the price, the 's' blade should come in a case of some sort; if I hadn't been extremely cautious (I'm on blood thinners), I would have cut myself while unpacking all the pieces.
I bought this Cuisinart to replace a DLC-10 that was hard to get replacement parts for, and this is a big step up in quality and durability. Everything on this is built so solidly that it does a better job of slicing and grating than the DLC-10 ever did, even though the blades are the same size. I am really happy with this machine and I use it almost every day cooking.
I just got this processor to replace an old Cuisinart, so I haven’t used it a lot. It is quite a bit more complicated than that one, but has many more uses. What I would stress for anyone considering buying is: read the instructions very carefully several times (I didn’t look at the videos) and practice a while before using it to do real cooking.
Many of the negative reviews here seem to have been written by people who don’t have the patience one needs to operate this sort of machine. The parts do take some experimenting before you understand how to put them together and take them apart, but once you finish assembling them it works beautifully.
One thing I will not use it for is mixing and kneading bread dough; I’m doubtful that it would do a better job at that than doing this by hand. I’ve done that by hand (as people have done for centuries) for years, and it’s good exercise for your hands and arms!
To sum it up: take plenty of time to learn how to use this thing (especially if you have never used a food processor before), handle it carefully, and learn how to cook and bake the old-fashioned way so you don’t have to rely on the processor to do everything for you.
It works great. Does exactly what I want. BUT the press is a 2 piece unit and doesn’t come apart. Making cleaning very difficult to clean. I use it to grate cheese and it is a nightmare to clean up.
Shame on you Amazon and Cuisinart for continuing to sell this product when you knowingly have 1 star reviews that state this product is defective. There is a design flaw with this product that will NOT allow the main work bowl lid to seat and connect power to the bowl. Amazon, REMOVE this product. Do you ever read the reviews????! Do you ever try to use the defective products that are returned to you? Cuisinart, I will NEVER buy one of your products EVER AGAIN!
Update two days later with egg on my face: I apologize to Amazon and Cuisinart. I was wrong about this appliance. If everyone who gave this a one star would read this, your appliance may work. Mine is not defective. I was trying to put the lid on backwards. My old Cuisinart food processor had the bowl handle and the feed chute lined up together. With this new model, it is just the opposite. When you face the processor you will see the handle. The food chute should be 180 degrees from the handle. Now I am happy again. I even had it all packed up to send back when my husband asked me if I had tried the reverse of what we were trying to do. I thought I had, but apparently I hadn't. So we unpacked it and tried the reverse and WA-LA. It worked just fine.
Cuisinart, please add this to your instructions. It sure would be helpful and would save many frustrations.
Great product! Much better design then before, more compact, fits better on the countertop. I hope it's going to be as durable as the previous version we had and had to get rid of it due to discontinuation of production, so we could not find that plastic bowl and had throw the entire food processor, but that's what happens with many manufactures these days, who cares about the resources and environment... :-)
Previous one lasted 28 years; puts relatively high initial cost in perspective Replacement parts available, but the diversity of models & applications makes getting the right part more difficult. Everything fits together so nicely. We have one of the biggest ones; power is always quite adequate. We bought the initial machine and nearly all of the additional application components at Amazon. Amazon has done a great job of separating out individual components & applications as our use increases the tasks of the machine.
This is my second Cuisinart food processor Pro Custom. I had one that lasted 33 years but needed to replace it. The base is heavy so it will not walk on the counter. Very strong motor and quiet.
The manual is not great. I had to look up videos on how to properly use the appliance. Compared to other processors that I have used it is very quiet. I’m pleased with the product.
