JDro ™ is a Digital Position Read Out "Dro" connected to a maximum of 3 machines (Lathe, Mill, Grinder, Drill Press, Router etc.) with a maximum of 10 scales, 4 RPM Counters and 3 Edge Detectors in its current configuration (to be expanded in future versions). The Dro unit is connected to a Local Area Network (LAN) and all data read out is displayed using Android, Windows, Linux, or Mac with the JDro client software.

The Dro client software can connect to multiple JDro’s enabling the Dro client software to control and manage the Digital Position information of multiple machines without the need to acquire expensive Dro’s and/or display units.

The Dro unit contains a powerful microprocessor to handle above sensors and the network stack at the same time. Network speed and timing can be configured in the Dro client software. In fact, the JDro Unit contains 3 “conventional” Dro’s with 10 Scales, 4 RPM counters, 3 Edge Detectors and a Networked Interface

The Dro unit can serve up to:

• 10 High Resolution Magnetic Linear Encoder scales. (Contactless high resolution magnetic linear encoder for accurate linear motion with a resolution down to <0.5μm.) (connected to, Lathe, Mill, Grinder, Drill Press, Router etc.)
o (0.5 micrometers = 0.0005 millimeters)
o (0.5 micrometers = 0.000019685 inches)
• 4 Magnetic Contactless RPM counters
• 3 Light-controlled Edge Detectors

Readout Displays: Each machine (Lathe, Mill, Grinder, Drill Press, Router etc.) can have its own display. For example one Wi-Fi enabled phone, laptop or tablet can be moved around to serve any machine on the work floor or a particular group of machines of choice:
