Wow!!!! When JJ' s wife got shot it was just heart breaking!!! Even in jail he was a good guy, protecting those girls!! I thought for a little while Eric was gay wanting Runner to stay with him and couldn't make with Jay,but I think that he was just taken by his first wife. Happy for those 2 girls on the cliff, that was quite a deal with her husband pushing them. Then that dream journey in the caves was incredible. One last thing I liked how you combined the two towns!!!! Great book!!

What a beautiful story! I was deeply impressed by the vision quest, it was exciting, breathtaking, impressive and beautiful. Although I don't believe in homosexuality of either men or women because the Bible tells us plainly that it is detestable to God, I do realize that people have their own beliefs and it's not my place to judge them, that belongs only to God.

I am so looking forward to the next book in this series, and I hope that it comes out very quickly!

The story kept me on my toes, but left me hungry. What happens to Runner? Does he find happiness. Also, what happens to Joey when he comes out of jail. And finally, Eric. Does he put his bad experience in the past and takes a chance. I was a little disappointed. Hope you will write about it soon.

It is hard to give a fair review because I haven't read the previous books. That being said, it might be the reason I was sort of lost in the character development and who was who. It isn't fair to the author to give 3 stars for my own fault but I also felt the writing to be sort of choppy. Most of the book didn't seem to flow and had abrupt sentences and thoughts. It seemed unrealistic for a young girl to be nursing a 9 mo. old baby and be pregnant by a fiancé' that left her in a lurch only to find a new love of her life a couple weeks after meeting him. It was a clean story where the Lakota Indians rode horses in a vision quest and when one of them became ill, an auto came to get him to the hospital. I have no idea of the historical time-frame as it was not mentioned.
