4K UHD IPS
The clarity and details with 4K Ultra HD resolution will amaze, even up close. With over 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum this LG monitor is a great solution for professional photographers, graphic designers or anyone looking for highly accurate color.
On-Screen Control
On-Screen Control puts a host of essential monitor settings into a handy window for quick, easy access. Volume, brightness, picture mode presets, Screen Split 2.0 and Dual Controller and more can now be adjusted with just a few clicks of the mouse, instead of hard buttons on the monitor.
Features
Screen Split 2.0
Customize your monitor layout for multitasking with the latest version of LG Screen Split. Resize and display multiple windows at once, with 14 options including four different picture-in-picture (PIP) choices.
4K UHD Gaming
Game On! The clarity and fine details of 4K UHD will amaze gamers thanks to 8.3 million pixels on a screen with resolution of 3840 x 2160. That's four times the resolution of Full HD for an even more immersive gaming experience.
FreeSync
With FreeSync, gamers can experience seamless, fluid movement throughout hi-res, fast-paced games. FreeSync eliminates tearing and stuttering that can occur because of differences between a graphic card’s frame rate and a monitor’s refresh rate.

Advanced Gaming Features
Serious gaming features for serious gamers. Quickly optimize monitor settings to activate Black Stabilizer to reveal superior detail in dark scenes while the Dynamic Action Sync feature assures smooth, fluid gaming action.
Arcline Design
The sleek design of LG premium monitors is accentuated by the new ArcLine stand. The smooth curve of the base provides stability, assuring dependable performance with a touch of elegance.

Product Description
The LG 27UD68 4K UHD monitor must been seen to be believed. Whether watching movies, playing games or just reading from your screen, the 4K UHD display provides stunning images at four times the resolution of standard full HD. But it's how the 4K UHD is used that's most impressive. For creative professionals, the RGB over 99 percent color accuracy is ideal for turning creative visions into reality on the desktop. The 27UD68 works hard, but plays hard too. With a host of gamer friendly features such as free sync, Black stabilizer, dynamic action sync and game mode, smoother, stutter free gaming has never looked as glorious as it does in 4K UHD. Inputs/Outputs - DisplayPort (ver1.2) - Yes.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2016I'm planning to get a new desktop computer and decided to get a new monitor as the first step. I've been using a 21" Acer 1080 x 1920 monitor at home (which this monitor will replace) and a HP DreamColor monitor at work. The difference in quality between this monitor and the ones I have been using is like night and day. In addition to having a beautiful 4K display, the user interface on this monitor is great. Instead of having an array of buttons it has a single combination joystick/button on the bottom turns the monitor on and off and allows you to navigate the menus and control the sound level. The menus are very well designed and intuitive and include several pre-programmed modes such as reading, photo, cinema, and several game modes. At first I used photo mode for everything but now I'm primarily using the reader mode. The reader mode has a reddish cast and looks relatively unattractive at first but I've found it to be easier on my eyes for day-to-day computer work. The DisplayPort input works great with my HP notebook which supports 4K video out over DP. The HDMI input works great with my Acer laptop but unfortunately that notebook only supports 1080 x 1920. The monitor looks great too. The display is surrounded by a very thin aluminum edge, with a small black section with an LG logo at the bottom. Overall a really great monitor.
BTW, I bought an open-box monitor which was available via Prime for about $120 less than the best new offer. It looks like the monitor was returned because a screw was missing from the base which made it unstable. I bought a replacement M4 screw at Home Depot which completely fixed the problem. The DP cable was also missing but I wasn't too concerned about that considering how much I saved. I bought a new one from Amazon for about $10. Still more than $100 savings for an otherwise perfect monitor.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2020I got this as a second monitor for my setup and it's working great so far. Arrived in great condition and has a very clear picture. In the pictures I've posted, the new monitor is on the right and my old one is on the left.
I only have two minor complaints:
1.) As many others have stated, the stand isn't super great. If you're willing to spend a little more for a vesa mount, I would recommend it.
2.) The blinking white light from the power button (only when the monitor is asleep) is very bright and can be a bit annoying at night. This seems like something that could be fixed with a small square of duct tape though.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this monitor.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2018This is a nice monitor. I got it for a little under $400, open box, and the only issue I'm able to find with it is two small magenta "smears" when the monitor is displaying pure black. When there's an image on the screen, or the monitor is off, I'm unable to tell that there's any kind of blemish. If I had to guess, this is not a defect so much as probably something caused by somebody mishandling the monitor, not wanting to be responsible for the damage they caused, and then returning it.
I'm using it via a DisplayPort connection and it works just fine. I'm not interested in the dual input options or the ability to control the menu with the mouse, I pretty much just leave the color settings at sRGB with 50% brightness and go with it. I've not done any real hard color-comparing yet, but it appears to be faithful to reality. The included stand looks pretty cheesy; I have not used it, it was immedately screwed onto an Ergotron NeoFlex that I had lying around and it works very well that way. The picture made it looks like the VESA mount screws were very near the top of the monitor and that I wouldn't be able to get enough height, but it mounts up perfectly and has a very usable height range.
The picture, from what I can tell without looking at it REALLY critically for a very long time, appears to be consistent from side to side, top to bottom, and at any reasonable angle. I'm impressed. Even at a bargain price it's still more than I've ever spent on a monitor, but it seems to be worth it. I like that the image goes nearly all the way to the edge on three sides and that there's no protruding border, it's all just nice and flush with the panel.
Why not 5 stars? The back of the thing is cheesy; I don't like how the plugs just stick straight out, like they made this thing as bare-bones as possible. The power adapter is kinda cheesy too, but not too bad. Some MINOR nitpicks would be the standby light - it would be nice to have the option to have it "breathe" instead of just blink on and off, or just not be on at all. It can be turned off when the monitor is on, but it will blink on/off when in standby.
Finally, whoever repackaged the monitor arranged it so that the panel was face up, right at the top of the box and not covered by anything to protect it. If I weren't a very experienced, sophisticated consumer, I'd have gone through with the knife when opening the box and destroyed the panel. Be careful!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2019EDIT: After binging Stranger Things, I see the IPS Glow now. Impossible to unsee once you notice it. I recommend keeping a small/dim light on during nighttime viewing or lowering the monitor's brightness to around the ~50 mark to alleviate this issue. That aside- still a great display.
The IPS panel in this display is top-notch. At least on my particular screen, I've never had issues with image retention or backlight bleed. Out-of-the-box, the color calibration was the literal best I had ever experienced, and even non-4K content really pops on this. (The internal scaler seems to handle 1800p, 1440p, and 1080p very, very well. For gamers who can't run everything at native 4K, don't worry: you have options!)
The only issue is the stand, which is flimsy and frankly feels godawful. I'm going to replace it with a VESA mount at the first possible junction.

Josh BorgReviewed in Canada on August 19, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Hands down best 4k monitor for the price.
I'd like to point out that this isn't an "Ultra Wide" monitor like the seller has in the title. You guys got that totally wrong so you better change it, I was already well aware of this considering that I'm a tech reviewer, although it's definitely misleading to non-technical people. The aspect ratio on this monitor is 16:9 with a resolution of 3840x2160 @60Hz, now if you're looking for an ultra wide monitor, that would have an aspect ratio of 21:9, in which this monitor does not offer. I really didn't want to write a review for this monitor, although I've already made it this far so I might as-well just do one. Despite the misleading title, this monitor is fantastic in every way - and I've saw a lot of monitors in my life. The one thing that I really wish LG never included though is the stupid "Gaming" features, it's just a marketing gimmick, and in my honest opinion this is WAY more of a professional monitor than a gaming one (Hence the IPS, colour calibrated panel and 99% Adobe sRGB coverage). There's this one gaming feature though, it's called the "black stabilizer" (Brightens dark scenes so you can see the enemy better) and it's automatically set to 50% by default which really screwed me up with my video/photo editing and in general made 4k content looked washed out, but once I turned that right off, by the gods, I immediately saw much much better image quality now that I was getting those deep blacks. In contrast this is a great monitor, go buy it.

PS: I've included a picture of this monitor beside an actual ultra wide monitor for scale.

consumerCReviewed in Canada on September 16, 20185.0 out of 5 stars Excellent image quality
A perfect display for processing and presenting photos and working in CAD. Due to the size of the display, a photo will show its best if it's equal or larger in size (3840 x 2160). Moreover, a perfect fit will look even better if the photo was shot at 16:9 aspect ratio. Windows 10 will recommend a display adjustment of 150% or fonts and other features will be hard to see. If more monitors are attached to a computer, a colour calibration will ensure consistent appearance on all of them. This 27" monitor's narrow border around the display makes it equal in width with a 25" Samsung T260 (or similar). Its actual resolution is 165 dpi - which is almost twice the resolution of a 27" FHD display (89 dpi, measured on Samsung T260). The attached images are processed for display resolution comparison only.

Gran monitor
MCVReviewed in Canada on February 29, 20204.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price, with a few setbacks
The transaction and shipping was A1. I connected this screen to my eGPU (Razor Core X + AMD RX 5700XT) on a MBP 2018. The resolution and controls are great for casual gaming and day-to-day work. The whole monitor wobbles when you try to change the settings with the joystick underneath (this monitor is designed with a short base attached at the bottom, not a VESA stand). The screen mate finish is difficult to clean, it leaves traces that can be seen when the room light is normal during the day (I tried different monitor cleaning product and special cloth, same result). Considering returning the monitor.
