Budget Friendly But You Need Some Tips

This little greenhouse has an attractive price but it definitely has some limitations. If you are like me and you just want to make it work and not spend any more money...read on. (Be sure to look at my pictures. They will help give you ideas on how to make this work for you) 1) Don't bother with the wheels. They only work when the unit has no weight on it and is on a really smooth surface. Otherwise they fall out an can handle no resistance at all. I've just gotten good at sliding it. I am going to order 2 $8:00 wooden plant caddy sets of wheels, zip tie them to the bottom of this unit to make it mobile again. 2) . A main complaint is that the shelving frame comes apart easily when you are moving the unit. And it does. UNLESS you use the included zip ties to tightly connect the shelves to the frame on each side of the unit. This took care of the problem for me and keeps the frame together. You'll also need to keep this in a protected area out of the wind. 3) It will get very hot, very quickly when the cover is on and you have direct sun. Be sure to monitor your temperature. You'll quickly kill things if you don't. The cover is really easy to put on and take off and it fits the shelves perfectly. 4) If your need a heat boost because of extra low temperatures I found that a seedling heat mat placed on the bottom shelf (or you could even put it under the unit) gives at least a 10 degree boost at the top shelf. If you need even more heat throw a blanket over the whole thing. That gave me a 20 degree boost. 5) Want to put full sun plants and shade plants in the same greenhouse when there is direct sun? Just put your shade plants together on a lower shelf and drape shade cloth over the shelf above it. I'm disappointed that I will have to rig up a different wheel system but I am loving the ability free up my indoor grow light space and get these plants outside in a protected environment. If I'm careful with it, I think I can get quite a few years of use out of it.

Total junk. This is how it will look like after three months. We didn’t put anything crazy heavy. The ground is not too unlevel. The greenhouse started tilting and eventually started sitting against the wall behind it like in the photo.

I can work with this. It is not heavy-duty by all means, but for starting seeds on trays it will work well. I have moved the center bar from top shelf and put it in the uppermost holes to hang a light fixture (see image). Trays/shelves can be moved as needed to accommodate growth of seedlings. Nothing too heavy for sure. I would only use it indoors in early spring for flower and veggie starts, or for herbs in winter. Use only in sheltered area if outdoors.

It can fit many racks of starter seeds.
You don't have to water your seedlings as often due to the slow evaporation within the mini greenhouse.
It can somewhat move over tiled floor.
The Bad:
Chinsey as heck.
Plastic slats are brittle.
Metal poles are not true fit so they wiggle alot and flex when you move the greenhouse.
Not enough zip ties to keep the shelf down to my liking. They give you 8 you need 16, two per edge and 4 for center total 20.
Neutral:
Good for seed starting. Not good for second stage plants. Only maybe second stage plants. Plants like my corn, peas, and beans had to be moved to the top of the rack. You run out of space quickly with 3" pots.
I ended up purchasing 5 total as a result of not having space for all 600 plants I am growing. So, I have space for growth when they need to be relocated to a larger pot.
The chinsey note above. The caster broke its holder as I was installing the shelves. It wasn't like I was hammer fisting them on either. Just gentle pressure is all it took. I hot glued it back together but think they can break in the future.
The plastic was smelly when you first opened it. It gasses off over time..
All in all, kind of disappointed for the price of it vs all the low quality parts.
