The Walking Dead returns. With no hope of safety in Alexandria, Rick's group is forced to resume their precarious fight for survival; for a chance at normalcy in a world of chaos.
So as a huge fan of the show, I must say I am highly disappointed in the quality of this latest one. On the first hand they kept delaying the release and obviously doesn't show why. What your getting is an action figure connected to a display case and that's it. With the fact that the price keeps going up with the limited edition you would think maybe the quality too!!!! I will not be ordering another limited edition again! I guess my collection ends with season six! Highly disappointed fan!!!!!!
Save your money and just buy the discs. Discs alone are 30 to 40 bucks and this cheesy plastic holder is nowhere near worth the extra $120.00 . I'd say $75.00 - $85.00 for this package would be a fair price for something that probably costs 15 to 20 to make. It's sad that they would take advantage of people's love for the show. I purchased this one because I have all the rest of them, but I was not impressed at all with the holder especially considering that it's an extra 120 bucks. I have never written a review before but I had to express my opinion on this highway robbery.
I have been waiting (impatiently) for the start of season 5 of TWD. Have been a rabid fan since the first episode. And this episode ranks in my top five..perhaps number one. The suspense! I cannot think of another episode where I held my breath so many times. The end was superb, so gut-wrenching emotional, it made my eyes water. (Okay, I admit it..I cried..satisfied?) Of course, Carol and Daryl are my fave characters. Who DOESN'T love Daryl..remember *If Daryl dies, we riot!* (I have been a Norman Reedus fan since Boondock Saints as validated by my 3 ft. framed movie poster.). But if you don't like him..do NOT post it here unless you want a cyber lynching..lol! And Carol is the toughest walker (and other evils) assassin...right up there with Michonne. But even poor Rick, at the end, made one (or several tears) fall. Loving it!! Bring it on TWD! *There are NO spoilers here.
I never liked horror movies, zombie movies, and the like. I found them disturbing; not the way that makes me check under my bed at night, but I just found them to be too creepy and too gory. A friend of mine pleaded that I really should give the show "The Walking Dead" a chance...so I did... Was I disturbed?? Definitely..!! Creeped out to no end..??? Absolutely..! BUT...I started becoming really enthralled with the story, and eventually even became somewhat "numb" to the icky, scary zombies that are awkwardly limping and shuffling around everywhere, with their most disgusting signature-snarl... The story about the different groups (or sometimes just a single person) of survivors is absolutely gripping. Rick Grimes, Carol, Maggie & Glenn, Daryl, Hershel, Michonne,...they all quickly became "my family" for whom I rooted, feared, felt proud, and/or cried in grief.
This show truly is absolutely terrific, and I am so glad that I listened to my friend and gave "The Walking Dead" a chance. It unreservedly earned it. Now I'm suffering withdrawal until the next season comes out...
I cannot wait for this show to come back for Season 7! I'm still a little bit sour over the epic, and likely most anticipated event cliffhanger thus far-especially for those of us who enjoy the comic. I'm pretty sure I know how this all ends up, but I guess there is always that very SMALL probability that Gimple will throw us off trail. Never know with that guy, lol.
I just rewatched "Last Day on Earth" the other night searching for Easter Eggs and anything I may have missed during the first viewing. Another great season (with a few not-so-awesome bottle episodes inbetween), with a few totally amazing episodes.
There is nothing more interesting than this show. I watched all six seasons in 2-3 weeks. Was worth every second. This season, especially, because it has a lot of character development, and a lot of stuff going on within the show. I would've like to have seen more story progression in terms of more information about the virus. Things like how it infected everyone, or why it infected everyone, but I know the story writers are not going to just release the "goods" because I think it would take some added value out of the show. But, they could take a different approach and started talking about the walkers, like research on them as an opponent, such as how long can they live without food, what kind of decay occurs during that time, MORE about why they walk in herds rather than just because of something simple like sound, etc. I really love the show because of the character development, but every 4-5 episodes, it wouldn't hurt to put like a 2 minute skit explaining more about things, give us some of the science-y stuff behind it. That makes it a little more interesting than just "aim for the head" ...
