Great business book... Check it out if you want an easy to read, interesting book

Great book on leadership and just life in business and management. Mike's extensive experience working in a large company comes out in this book and it was very funny and interesting. I would recommend this book to all managers and out of the box thinkers. Pushing your innovative ideas and listening to your employees' ideas is hard when it is so easy to be safe and average.

A fun and quick read. Mike uses parables and references to super-heros of all sorts to drive points and principles home. I took away so many nuggets of insight. The books definitely achieves one of his goals - helping an innovative spirit to find their passion and reach their potential. I am inspired and will be using insights from here to design my (new life stage) amazing life, focus on the what first, learn through fearless experimentation, eliminate non value-added activities from my life, and look for the open doors along the journey. Whether you need inspiration for creating a more innovative workplace or using innovation tools and principles for your personal life path, there's a story in here for you.

Some top of mind thoughts after reading the book - I too was an adrenaline addict and have survived it. Perhaps I am too "clean" now as I am on a neverending sabbatical. However, I have enjoyed planting and tending to my own lettuce (even if the yield is small). I haven't missed the carrots and I appreciate the second-hand stress-free air very much! Along those lines, I very much believe the importance of never forgetting "Rule Number 6." In fact, I find myself avoiding anyone who forgets this rule. It is just soap people!! And now it's time to get off my phone and experience the moment and strive to live my "It's a Wonderful Life" effect and focus on my number one priority, my family. Loved the book. Obviously, I did a lot of self-reflection.

The authors honest, personal reflections are inspiring and hopeful! Inspiring is the author's goal of writing a book and achieving the goal, and hopeful in the example set in doing so! It is also hopeful to know there are others that share in believing in and wanting to be an Agent of Change!
After reading the book, I felt both relieved and re-energized, ready to continue to unapologetically strive for AMAZING in my life!
