Good solid Pi3 Kit. I used this device out of the box as-is with my HDTV to give it internet and some other features (youtube, videos, music, etc). I have yet to download a video player to playback some videos as it doesn't playback some of them out-of-box. But otherwise, I am pretty happy so far.

12/7/2017 update - I swapped this unit with one that has a cooling fan for the TV. Prolonged hi-res video playback seems to cause a thermostat icon to pop up on the screen. I use this for some fun stuff instead like Nintendo emulation that also does some fun asic bitcoin mining.

Fantastic! Worked out of the box. Everything you need to get started. Comes preinstalled. I had to wait until I got to work where I have spare monitors and peripherals to set this up but it wasn't until after that I realized that you can actually set this thing up without any of that.
I knew you could ssh in but i figure you had to have a monitor the first time to install the OS - but it comes preinstalled.

So all you have to do is plug in an ethernet cable and the power supply.
then open up a terminal or whatever equivalent you windows people use.
ping raspberrypi.localhost
that will give you the IP address on your local network
ssh to that ip with the command:
ssh pi@ipaddress
password: raspberry

you're in.
You can setup wifi here too:
sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
Look for a line that says: ESSID:"your wifi network"
also check to see if you are WPA or WPA2 or something else
this should work for either. Not sure about the others
it'll look something like this: IE: IEEE 802.11i/WPA2

type:
sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
Scroll down to the bottom and add
network={
ssid="wifi network name"
psk="your password"
}

save, exit reboot and wifi should now work

I'm overjoyed to have found a bundle that has the RPi3 Type B and also the case I was looking for plus a decent sized Micro SD card. The power adapter broke the first time I removed it from the plug, but to be fair, it was a tighter than average plug so I didn't take off a star. I bought a better replacement for about $9 so no real harm. Love that it came with an HDMI cable.

I did not purchase a keyboard or mouse for it, but he did need a USB keyboard and USB mouse to set it up for what he wants it to do. Apparently any USB mouse and keyboard will do, nothing special needed, and he only needed them for the set up.
