This custom IR Receiver is connected to any USB 2.0 external connector on your computer with the cable provided and is ready to go. It is for use with media applications only. The outer casing of the receiver is so small (2 1/8"L x 1 3/8"W x 0.70"H) that it can be mounted almost anywhere with double stick tape (not included). The cable is 60" long so that you can have your computer in a cabinet and put the receiver on a shelf. This Receiver can be used with any RC6 Protocol Remote. This Receiver is not for use with the Xbox One.

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
MCE-compatible IR Receiver works good with Linux LIRC software found in LinHES MythTV PVR (R6.04) -- plug and play. A red LED blinks in the receiver indicating IR reception has occurred. Have not tried Blaster function yet.
