I thought I would be needing a new sender assembly which would cost me $50. The one picture shows the new shiney float against the old float which I failed miserably at repairing. This product description makes it sound like it's for something 1989 and older, but it worked for my '93 ford ranger (aka mazda b2300) with original fuel sender, and surprisingly original fuel pump. The second picture is showing it fit snugly in the sender without modification.
