For the price, it's not bad, but it mostly gives basic information and then tells you to install Kali. Even then it gives basic info on setting it up, but not enough for the people who would be reading this book.

In all fairness, it does say it's for beginners, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead one 1. If you have basic computer skills and want to get a basic, high level overview, and you've never heard of Kali, then this book is for you. If you've already played around with Kali, then your knowledge is beyond this book.

My knowledge is beyond this book, which is why I only gave it 3 stars, instead of 4 (should have spent a little more time on Installing Kali, like working through the interface issues, especially with the several VM options and how to bring the interface up), since the people reading this book won't be able to figure that out on their own without hours of Googling.

Don't mean to sound critical, just trying to direct the book to the right readers.

Somewhat thin and most info provided was given only in general terms and how to use examples. Not a bad book but not much in to help you if you are hacked and you are looking for a resolution to your problem.
