How did you come up with the idea for this product?

It started out in a dorm room at Babson College. All Hanson needed was a space to write down business ideas and stay organized from week to week; however, papers got lost, whiteboards were too bulky, and dry erase paint was too expensive. So Think Board was born - a clear dry erase film that is easy to install, looks beautiful, and wont reach too deep into your pockets.

What makes your product special?

Think Board is clear, which separates us from any other whiteboard on the market. Think Board will blend in with any surface you put it on, whether a desk, door, colored wall, or stainless steel refrigerator. Second, Think Board is removable - it will not peel the paint off your wall or leave any sticky residue behind!

What has been the best part of your startup experience?

The best part of creating Think Board was seeing the impact in local communities. We see Think Boards in offices, playrooms, classrooms, dorm rooms, and even on the side of food trucks! The most challenging part of creating Think Board was coming up with a right layering of adhesives and coatings to provide the highest quality product for the lowest price on the market.

It took three people almost half an hour to get this on the wall...and still had bubbles/creases. Okay, we got it up...then tried it out. The marker does NOT erase well, even after trying two different white board cleaners. I am returning this item. Oh...and when I tried to take it off the wall to return it....my paint came off the wall with the film.

"Think" twice before you buy

This "board" was not that difficult to put up but it does not erase well. A lot of ghosting and shadowing. Traditional white boards may cost more but they are also worth the extra cost.

AWESOME White Board / creative thinking product!!!

This product is AWESOME. 1/4 the price of a white board, works SO MUCH BETTER than white board or blackboard paint, removable/movable, EASY to put up (less than 10 minutes) and is just a great freaking idea! LOVE IT!!!

I have a startup that varies between 5-8 people at our Cambridge office. Good Ideas come randomly and sometimes we need a big space to keep track of our goals and company progress. I bought one of these ThinkBoards as soon as we moved into our new office one year ago.

Today, the thinkboard still works GREAT. It's HUGE, which every team member plenty of space to explain, diagram, or write out any thoughts, and the quality on it is awesome. We can have something up there for 2 weeks, and erasing it is super easy. It's stayed stuck to the wall perfectly, and genuinely feels like a high quality product when you write on it.

There are also SO many benefits that we've reaped just from having our ideas and goals up on a common space for everyone to see. I could argue that it's boosted our productivity and results exponentially. In general if you're an entrepreneur or someone who has ideas and wants to make progress towards any sort of goal, I think this is a very, very helpful product which you will begin to love once you begin to use.

Regarding installation- if you're lucky enough to be in the Boston area, like us, the ThinkBoard team actually came and helped us put this up. They also stayed back for some food and video games at our office. If you were doing it yourself, I recommend getting one (two max) others to help you install this thing. If you sit through one of their Youtube videos before installing, you'll find it's pretty easy.

We ordered this board for one of the biggest walls in our office and it has worked wonders! The adhesive sticks great, it's easy to write on, and all of my co-workers love using it. Thanks for putting out a great product!

This Think Board has been the perfect solution to promote both productivity and creativity within our team!!! It was very easy for me to put on our wall, and I spent less than half of what I would have paid for a regular white board... Before I had a small white board which was not nearly big enough for our needs, and it was hard to carry around/store! Thank you so much for creating such an AMAZING product - I will be using this every day!!!
