The 4 controller charging locations take a while to get used to putting the controllers into. There's been a couple of times where I wasn't sure if the controller is charging or not, but overall it seems to hold the controller quite securely. The PS4 fits into the docking location very well as well and the USB wire to connect to the PS4 is of a good length to make a nice connection.
My issue is with the fan. When I turn the system off it's quite easy to hear the fan, would of been nice to have a way for the PS4 to send a signal to the system to turn off the fan when it goes into rest mode. When I'm playing my games It's hit or miss whether I notice the fan, I might not notice it after a bit of use I'll not even notice under normal playing circumstances it but it currently is a bit annoying during any breaks in sound for the game.
The buttons on the front to turn on/off the fan and lighting is a nice addition. Currently I have the fan in the off position only time will whether it harms the PS4 in the vertical position. The lighting I'll probably be keeping off. If the device had a way like my old PS3 dock to tell whether or not any charging controllers were full or charging and displayed lights to note it, it would be nice. But random lights just aren't my thing in the location I have it placed.
The additional USB ports are nice, I use them to charge my switch's pro controller.
