I have purchased several of these plans and have been fortunate enough to have only had to use a plan one. The reason I'm giving it five stars is because I am disabled and do most of my shopping through Amazon so I have more plans than the average person. When I purchase an item and receive my plan I immediately go to asurion's website and register my product. If I need to know if a product is still under coverage I can go to the website and find the information there. No searching through my files for the paperwork! That alone makes it worth a five star rating for me lol!

Wouldn't recommend

The heating element on my countertop oven stopped working just over a month of purchase. The claim procedure was fine enough until "additional attention" was required. I essentially resubmitted my claim via chat where I was ultimately directed to finish my claim via phone. The number was a fax. Instead, I found the email I was sent regarding my claim, but it informed me to send proof of disposal (via facility or donation) in addition to proof of purchase via fax. I just returned it to Amazon since I was still in the time window to return it. Nonsense over and done with.

I should have read the find print. This "warranty" runs concurrently with the original manufacturer's warranty, does not add to it.

Warning: Refund refused when Appliance was returned

Be careful when ordering this Warrantee. If you buy the appliance and then return it, Asurion will not honor the refund in the warrantee. Even though you returned the appliance.

I purchased a microwave from Amazon and also purchased the 4 year warrantee from Asurion. Then Asurion refused to refund the warrantee when I returned the microwave.

This is very suspect and I would stay away from this company.

I originally had a timing problem as item was purchased as a Christmas gift and I lost more than a month off of it. I noted that in my initial review and Asurion contacted me offering to then put the protection in the name of the goftee and begin it on Christmas 2016. It has been some time since I have seen this kind of customer commitment!

I never buy anything without a warranty. Sad but true you have to have them now days. I used to think If you need an extended warranty the products are bad and you should by a different brand but I no longer want to do without features so, I buy the warranty. Asurion never fails to pay

I frequently purchase these plans for kitchen items that are prone to break down and the product is excellent. They provide excellent and very prompt service and process claims quickly. I have had to use the plan for both an air fryer and convection oven that stopped working and I was very glad that I purchased the plan.
