I love Marc Cameron and I really enjoy the Jericho Quinn character. This book was lighter than most, but packed with great stuff. I do not want to spoil it so let us say it is a reminder to us we have some very good friends from all walks of life.

Marc is a badass. Plain and simple. It would be great to meet him someday. I am grateful for his lifetime of service to our country and to the various communities, both local and federal, with whom he has served. It is terrific that he was able to turn this into a successful writing career, however, Texas wants its son back!

I read and will continue to read Mark Cameron’s books because they are all good stories and he uses no profanity. I do not read authors that use profanity because it is unnecessary and adds nothing to the book. Too many authors think they have to use profanity to make the story real. They are so wrong.

An evening at the local water park for Quinn and Thibadeaux and their families turns into a deadly adventure. A group of Islamic park employees think they will have their own jihad on the "evil Americans", so they shut down the water park with a bomb, dozens of gunshots, and pure evil. Bent on murdering as many people as possible, these kids are all over the park shooting on sight anyone in their path. While they are doing their jihad, the leader, a white sociopath, is robbing the office safe. Quinn and Thibadeaux are taking out as many of these Jihadists as they can find using guns they take from the bad guys (they came to swim, after all, and swimsuits don't make for good gun hiding places except for a tiny gun Thibadeaux has hidden in the crotch of his board shorts). Camille and Veronica have part of the Thibadeaux kids with them, along with quite a number of frightened people. Veronica is trying to keep people calm and quiet so the shooters don't come into the "ship" where they are hiding out. Not an easy job with hysterical people. Mattie and Dan, the second oldest Thibadeaux boy are out in the park doing their own evading of the bad guys. For a one day fun adventure for the two families, it turns into a day not to be forgotten. If you are a fan of water parks (or any public venue like this, you may want to rethink your next day out after reading this nail biter.

I be been reading through the Jericho Quinn and Scot Harvath novels for a couple of years now and there is always a recurring theme of evil middle eastern men. It was nice to see one that wasn't a bad man. I like the Jericho Quinn books because they incorporate more consistent character development. This book was shorter than the others but it was a shorter timeline and really made you think how quickly events can happen. It furthers my belief in always having a, "gun gettin' gun."

Mr Cameron's mind appears to be elsewhere with this book. Give it a miss and hopefully he will back on form for the next one.
