I needed a lightweight warm wool blanket to place on the bed, in the inter-season between summer and winter. It has been quite cool on many August/September nights in upstate NY; especially with the windows open. This looks well as an accent to multiple duvets I own, is warm and cozy, and drapes nicely over the edges of a full-size bed.Wash and dry, following the enclosed instructions and this lovely wool blanket/throw will not disappoint. Great purchase, I'll definitely get another colour.

Wool is fantastic. I have Merino Wool socks with 80% wool content and 20% synthetic material. 100% wool is a burden to wash and maintain. Most of the time it is dry clean only and shrinks if heated.

This wool blanket is perfect for the price. It has a very light residual solvent smell from the triple wash process. I am airing it out on a couch in my hotel room. The ember color is rich and such a lovely shade of orange. The edges are all protected with stitching. It is a large blanket and will cover your entire body if outside or can be folded like a pita pocket to keep you surrounded in warmth. It is thin but it holds heat well. This is the perfect layer to add insulation power to sleeping bags and to isolate yourself from cold ground pads.

Cons: Don't wash this at home if you can help it unless you have a true steam washer and dryer. Only use Woolite and only a very small amount. The detergent is super concentrated. Ideally with a wool blanket like this you only wash it once it has absorbed enough contaminants. It doesn't really need to be washed like cotton or synthetic materials.

In conclusion this brand has produced a fantastic wool blend blanket that meets all the needs of the true outdoors man without the REI pricing. And if you treat it right, it will last you a very long time.
