    I ashamed to say how long I leave a set of Elixir Optiwebs on my electric guitars! I have several so I rotate guitars often. These strings are definitely worth the money, as they are anti-rust. It takes me a good while to wear them out with playing them hard every time I pick up the instrument. They're durable, stay in tune well once stretched in, and are a great value for the money. I would probably wreck three other sets of strings from another brand in the time it takes me to waste a set of Elixirs. I am brutal on strings and try to tear them off the fretboard every time I play. Highly recommended!

    I've been using these on my guitars for over 20 years now. When I buy a new guitar, the first thing I do is put a set of these on it. They feel great under the fingers, they sound like new strings for months even though I play for a couple of hours almost every day, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've had a break that wasn't due to something like a saddle / post burr despite my flagrant j-rock unison bending antics. Also, if you've got a nickel allergy like I do, Elixirs are 100% your best option.

    Some people balk at the price, but that's just silly; the money you save from replacing your strings 1/3 as often will more than offset the added cost per pack.
