If you're a member of ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio, install this app and have QST, the ARRL membership journal, delivered to your Kindle device every month!
QST entertains and informs with news, construction projects, tutorials and much more. That's why it is the most widely read Amateur Radio publication in the world. The digital version of QST goes even further with content not found in the printed journal.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The debate is whether to use this app or to just view via the Browser. As my low end tablet is rather slow, patience is needed in going from page to page. I haven't figured out how to get the downloaded magazines and the app to use the SD card, either, so that puts a strain on primary memory which is in short supply on my device.
It's slow but usable on a Kindle Fire. The main problem with this app is that it relies on some very slow APIs to check for new issues. So slow that they usually time out. The result is that it takes a lo g time to start up and doesn't see new issues until you clear the whole cache then restart the app.
I've sent Android debug logs to the developers and the ARRL and the problem persists.
This is the ARRL magazine app to read the online version of it's magazines. It's OK, but a bit klunky. If you have an existing version, then be sure to delete it before upgrading. It seems a lot of bugs develop with an upgrade. I'm also not really fond of the navigation methods. They vary from section to section.
Overall, it's useful and works, just not rally a great implementation of a magazine reader.
Never could get the regular Android app to be able to download editions for viewing offline. Tried the Kindle Fire edition on my Android. To do so I had to install something that I think was called Amazon Underground. That allowed me to install the QST Kindle Fire app, and I was able to download and view an archived edition will offline. That's what I wanted, and it might be a solution for some of you who are also finding the QST Android App to be disappointing.
The ARRL is the US' largest lobbying body for amateur radio concerns - they deserve our support. This app allows access to their publications - and works just fine.
Great way to read your favorite magazine, "QST" away from home without lugging the hard print out and does not require internet connection to read (yes to download each month)
