Great theory and insight on the pluses of eating completely plant based for fitness and climate change. Not preachy and does not get into the guilt of factory farming or animals, per se. I was really interested in the material on Alkaline vs acidic foods and also the portion on stress. Well done!

I heard about the book from a youtube video. I haven't been athletic for over 20 years, but I found the initial part of the book inspirational. The recipes were fairly easy to follow, and everyone agrees I'm a terrible cook outside of toast.

I really loved this book. The information is incredible. I wanted to learn more and more and more. It's great.
That said, not all of the recipes are practical. I've only made a handful so far but 2 of them completely failed to materialize (wild rice yam pancakes and a "pizza" with an adzuki bean crust). They both remained mushy and wouldn't come together. I'm not a novice cook by any means and I had a feeling when I was prepping them that something was off with the proportions/ratios of things. Anywho a lot of the recipes seem better in theory than in actuality but some of them are good (the salad dressings, the pecan flaxseed burgers, and the cereal are great, for instance.) It's a nice book to learn about nutrition from a different vantage point, but don't except every single recipe to work for you

I'm interested in eating healthier and read good reviews for this book. I haven't finished the book but like most of what I'm reading. With that said it's a scientific fact that food is not a regulator of ph. Kidneys and respiratory system are 2 of the mechanisms that regulate ph. And it must be tightly regulated. I'm no expert but that is pretty basic stuff you learn in biology. Foods can be inflammatory so my focus is to reduce those foods.. I'm also interested in recipes and like his food pyramid. Focus on that and you will eat healthy.
