I'm actually shocked by how much I like these little speakers. They have a pretty well rounded noise that has a nice amount of bass, that also provides clear sound when watching TV. So far, I've had solid results for playing music, although if you play music too bass heavy, it'll rob some of the power from the higher end, making the music sound one sided..but that being said, they power out some really powerful sound for speakers that are only 5 or 6 inches tall. The only thing that really takes away from these speakers is the joke of the remote. It looks sleek, and has a really good feel in your hand, but the connection it has with the speakers is nearly comical. It has a range of about three feet and then it gets about half the controls that you try to put in, and when it does catch the controls, it gets all of them at once, and either turns the music all the way off, or high to the point of nearly breaking the speaker. For the price and the size, though, I'd say you probably couldn't do much better.

They are small, but the sound is awesome. They provide movie theater surround quality when hooked up to computer or iPad to play music or movie.

I have a few Bluetooth speakers, my favorite of which is a 20w model made by Sharkk, but I wanted something I didn’t have to turn on every time I wanted audio. I started to look for traditional computer speakers and wasn’t really impressed with what I saw. There were many similarly priced speakers from brands I had never heard of and a few I had heard of with a range of designs from flashy to subdued. Most had exposed drivers, which I don’t like to clean due to dust getting in there. These speakers stood out to me first because of the brand familiarity, but also because of the styling and Bluetooth mode.

These speakers were packed in a professionally printed box so you knew what you were getting. Once you open the box you find a white foam pad on top, protecting the speakers from damage. The packaging is above standard and gives the product a premium feel. If you are looking to give these speakers as a gift the packaging does present the product well. Inside you have a 5v power brick, an instruction manual, the left and right speakers, the remote, batteries for the remote, and a five foot AUX cable. On the right speaker are Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, as well as a power button. The right speaker has the ports for power, the AUX in, and the left speaker. The power range for the 5V adapter is 100-240V, so these can be used anywhere in the world.

To begin testing I tried out the Bluetooth connection. It’s the standard process, plug in the speaker, turn it on, and find it on the list of Bluetooth devices. The speakers came up on the device list right away and connected quickly. When you turn the speakers on you do get the standard Bluetooth Lady voice notifying you the speakers are ready to pair and when they actually are paired. One of the annoyances of Bluetooth mode is every time the speakers connect and disconnect you are notified. This wasn’t a problem for me because I planned to use an AUX cable to begin with, but it is something to be aware of if you are planning to keep these as bookshelf speakers. After the initial connection the speakers connected right away once the source was powered on. The Bluetooth connection was strong, it matched the performance of my best Bluetooth headphones and portable speakers, except with this test I took the source device, my laptop, away from the speakers instead of taking the receiver (headphones or speaker) away from the source. The results were the same, though. There have not been any hiccups in transmission with the speaker three feet from the laptop.

This is a 20 watt system overall, but that rating isn’t everything. I have three 20 watt portable Bluetooth speakers and they do not have the same audio qualities as these speakers. I expected some decent sound that was light on bass and lacked depth, but I was pretty wrong. First of all, I usually start my tests at a volume setting of 20 and these speakers pumped out more volume than I expected, and the speakers themselves were set somewhere in the middle. I tested the volume controls on the speakers and turned them all the way down and increased the volume in Windows. My first test track is Derezzed by Daft Punk because it has complex sounds and driving bass. These speakers did a wonderful job with the bass and had no problem with the complex sounds. I would attribute this to the larger size compared to portable speakers, since each speaker is the size of the smaller portable speakers which allows for deeper bass and more rich sound overall. Over the next few days I tested a variety of tracks across many genres, Netflix content, and game audio. These speakers exceeded my expectations in all areas. If you’re looking to fill a large room with clear sound these speakers have the ability.

The remote is pretty straightforward and has some useful buttons. It has your standard Pause/Play button in the middle of the circle, the Next and Previous buttons to the right and left, and Volume Up and Volume Down on the top and bottom of the circle. The Pause/Play and Next and Previous buttons may or may not work based on the application you are using. For something like iTunes it will work when the application is in the background, but something like VLC player or a browser must be the top application (on Windows). Above the circle is the “M” button to change between AUX and Bluetooth, next to that is the Mute button, and at the very top left is the power button. Below the circle are the “MB”, “LB”, and “HB” buttons. These allow you to switch between high bass, low bass, and medium bass quickly in the event you go from different styles of tracks or audio. The remote is light but feels sturdy. It works well, again unless the application you are using it with does not cooperate.

Currently these are my everyday computer speakers. I use them for playing games, listening to music, and watching Netflix. At computer distance I usually have the speaker volume set in the middle and the volume set somewhere below 10. Watching Netflix from 10 feet away I set the volume between 20 and 30. I am very impressed with these speakers and I would recommend them. These are some surprisingly good speakers.

Received these speakers in timely fashion and wrote the first review but can't find it so am reviewing again. Easy to set up and easily paired with my iPad. You will hear a voice prompt telling you when the device is paired. Noticed that the right speaker has a bass problem so have to keep the setting at "Medium" but that could just be this particular speakers' flaw. Otherwise, nice sound, very nice looking and love the remote.
I was offered a discount in ordering these speakers. Tried them outside by the pool, their Bluetooth range is about 50' and small enough to fit on my window ledge.

Great sound for the price. Love the option to play via Bluetooth or auxiliary. Having a remote to control the device is also very convenient. I've been using these speakers for my TV audio for a few weeks now. They function very well for this purpose but do often peak and make a strange distorted sound during some speaking scenes.
