Solid explorer film...

Reminiscent more of an biographical adaptation, the film's pace is somewhat hampered. Sorry, life is not continually exciting like social media makes it out to be. Although some fabrication was necessary to account for the unaccountable, the film depicts the need for adventure at the expense and sacrifice of civilized life. Brave men such as Lewis and Clark, Shackleton, Livingston, Hillary and many others have allowed our armchair spectatorship, advancements in science, and inspiration to venture into unknown territory to make our modern world known, and perhaps unfortunately exploited. The film was solid overall about a man seeking glory, only to find himself.

Bad storytelling and just flat boring

I quit half way through because this movie was boring and was doing a poor job of explaining Fawcett's compulsion to repeatedly risk his and others' lives based on such scant evidence of a lost city. I finally gave it up 2/3 of the way, when Fawcett did the stereotypical over-the-top scene during WWI -- Fawcett was an artillery officer.

If you're looking for a movie during which you can nod off and miss little, this might be for you.

I wanted to see more of Robert Pattinson.

While my husband and I enjoyed watching this movie, I wish that Robert Pattinson had been given a bigger role. Otherwise, the filming was beautiful, the story line interesting.
