Decent selection but pales in comparison to the likes of Apple Music, Google Play Music and Spotify. I understand that's because the rest of the catalogue is reserved for Amazon Music Unlimited customers but, especially after the cost of Prime was hiked up, I really feel like the unlimited service should be included with Prime membership. The cost jumped up, what, $20-$30 or so? Considering I don't get anything more out of my membership than I did at the lower price point, it seems like it shouldn't be too much to ask that a $10/mo. service also be included. If it were, it would be a no brainier for me to keep my Prime membership but as is, I'm going to have to reassess my need for it bc I'm not sure that I'm getting enough value for my money. I will consider each aspect of the membership fairly but I have a pretty good idea as to what I get use out of and what I don't and it's starting to look like I could piecemeal the few services I do utilize and come away saving a significant amount of $$$.

To download is free, BUT, it can't be accessed without paying a monthly or yearly fee. I thought this was supposed to be free with PRIME. I haven't found a way around opting for an upgrade. What a joke!
Worst music app ever.. we pay for prime and get crap... they want more money.. for a song you really want. the only songs you can get for your prime membership is NOTHING. I can see making people pay of they're not paying for prime.. but this is ridiculous. NOT TO MENTION THAT EVERY TIME I GO ONE AMAZON DELETES SONGS I HAVE ALREADY ADDED TO MY PLAYLIST. Ill keep my spotify. One payment and six of us use it on their family plan.
My girlfriend added me to her prime account, but I still can't listen to streaming..it keeps asking me to pay for a subscription for it, so I went back to iHeartRadio to listen to while I do my school work.
My desktop version will not work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times and it keeps crashing. I can only listen through the browser or on the app on my phone. I don't understand why it won't work on my computer, but I am not the only one to have this problem.
Previous versions of this app which operated on Fire TV were OK, but the latest versions of Amazon's Alexa driven app are useless, and yes, I mean useless. The app never gets past the first 20% of any playlist or album before it totally craps out. The app or versions of it, runs well on my PC, Echo, and DOTs, but simply does not work on Fire TV, particularly the latest versions, and I've had them all. My suggestion is to find another app that can play your tunes or stick with audio only devices. Of course, it may be the device, rather than the app. The latest versions of Fire TV tend to be sluggish, and take forever to download requests. This is particularly noticeable with Netflix and some other apps. I'm no software engineer, so it is difficult for me to even guess why I am having this problem, but from what I see, I'm not the only one. Until Amazon recognizes and acknowledges this problem. and can fix it, as well as instruct developers how to avoid it, don't bother. A waste of time.
It's amazing that the streaming music apps are so hard to get to run properly on the streaming devices. Spotify doesn't work at all on Roku and this Amazon app doesn't even work properly on its own equipment. When running this app on Firestick it looses the ability to control the music from the remote most of the time. What's strange is it will work sometimes ( I'd estimate about 10% of the time.) This would be a great app if it worked. I am a Prime customer and there are a lot of songs that come with Prime; but there is no way to control them; so fortunately I have Spotify. I have trouble shot this extensively and the trouble is definitely with the Music app and not the Firestick. Come on Amazon, why is it so difficult to get your own apps to run on your own equipment????

I love the idea that we can access some music as part of Amazon prime. However, one has to be very careful when using the app if you do not want to pay for a subscription. It is very very easy on this app to fall short of this and end up paying for something you don't want. In view of this I feel that this app should be "split" into Prime Music and Subscription only music when entering the App. To get round this it is far easier to ask Alexa for prime music and one will be taken straight into it. I am glad I did this as I could not find it any other way.
Other than this, I cannot fault the quality of the sound, although the choice of music on Prime could be a lot better. 2 million songs - I don't know how to access that number, but maybe I didn't search long or hard enough. However, I suppose what can one expect if you are not paying the extra subscription.

Amazon Music App is great, I love how you can stream or download for later or Buy if you want to. I had millions of songs as part of my Prime Subscription but I decided to pay for the Amazon Music Unlimited which is Superb at only £7.99 per month, the sound quality is great so at the moment I am happy with my current subscription and I may upgrade to HD for an extra £5 at a later date. I have tried Spotify but they are no where near as good as Amazon Music as they have much more choices of the type of music I like than Spotify does, you can't purchase anything and is £2 cheaper. I personally would recommend Amazon Music over Spotify and Apple Music which were disappointing to me and did not deserve the hype or popularity

5.0 out of 5 starsCan't beat Amazon Music when played through Echo Studio

I love having Amazon Music on my Fire Stick 4K and using with my Echo Studio is brilliant. The best of 3D playlist is a great start to high quality music but it lacks development. There's approximately around 15 songs in the 3D playlist and Amazon need to start adding more. Besides that this service is great and I recommend if you are Amazon savvy with all the tech.
