Waffling between 3-4 stars, my main complaint being it really doesn't pick up much on hardwoods, which was a big reason I got it. Since it is so bulky it can't do corners. That said it does GREAT on low rugs/carpet, which was also one of my main reasons for buying. You cannot go backwards, it will make an awful noise if you do, so you have to either pick it up or make a turn. It is kind of fun to use though.

Of all of the Christmas presents that I bought for my family this year through Amazon, this one is the only disappointing one. I was so excited to give it to my mother! She has lots of pets and lives in the woods so they are always tracking in leaves and dirt on the hardwoods and the carpets. I thought that this would be the perfect match! But after we assembled it and gave the first push...it squeaked and grumbled and jumped right over the debris. It would hardly move comfortably forward and it definitely did not like being pulled backward. It makes awful noise and would not pick up anything. Before sending it back I am going to disassemble and reassemble in case we did something wrong. But it is a pretty simple concept and I think that it just simply does not work. We tried it on hardwood, tile, and carpet/rugs. Maybe it is the dog hair that got tangled in the rollers that I cannot see. I don't know. I just know that I am very sad that it did not work for my mom. I was so excited to help her with her pet peeve! I am going to look for an industrial one somewhere else. I hope you have better luck!

I’ve bought the blue bissel sweeper before so I’m going to compare the two. The blue bissel sweeper was really weak when I would use it. This one is really strong and sturdy, made out of high quality plastic. It doesn’t bend when I’m sweeping, but also isn’t as flexible as the blue bissel. This one also is a little noisy but I like this one over bissel blue sweeper. I’m satisfied and do recommend
