I want to clarify that this product uses 2 disc-shaped CR2016 batteries not the CR 2032 as advertised. Good news: the product came with 2 complimentary batteries. I bought this while looking for alternative fillers for my Zippo as I use it more as a fidget device than a lighter. I did like the idea of this built in light so the Zippo doubles as a tiny flashlight. However, if you are expecting something bright like the Bat-Signal, this is not the case, the light bulb offers a fairly dim light perfect for riffling through a purse or bag, lighting up a keyhole in a dark entryway, or reading the menu at one of those Genteel Draft House type theaters or a dimly lit restaurant without disturbing other patrons. The Flip Lighter is pretty sturdy, lights up when the lid to the Zippo is flipped open and shuts off when the lid is clamped shut. Hasn't failed me yet.

    I wasn't expecting thousands of lumens but this is okay in a very dark situation, so you don't trip. but not if you need see things clearly. It is a novelty for your old zippo lighter you may not be using.

    I'd been on the lookout for a good little light for getting my keys into the keyhole late at night at my house. I also share a love of Zippo's and have a few for different purposes, usually lighting cigars.

    This is the combination between those two hobbies that I never knowI needed.

    The Ziplight is a simple device, though I was surprise at how it functions.

    Once opened you take out the plastic insert for the zippo, and you pull a small plastic tab that allows the contacts of the batteries inside to touch allowing the light to work. The light isn't as I expected, where you open the lighter and press the button for light.

    It's the reverse, the light is always on when the zippo case is open, and turns off when closing the lid, making operation a little easier. (I thought it was staying on, but inspecting in a dark room while closing the lid will show that the lid will turn off the light.)

    The light it puts out is surprisingly strong, and if anyone is old enough to remember the old official "zippo light" this is quite a bit stronger. If in complete blackness this will illuminate a surprising amount of area in front of your hands. This is not a trail flashlight however and won't light up entire rooms, or even walls. This is for small work in front of you right now.

    I've not owned it long enough to know how often I need to replace the CR2032 batteries in it, but I can't imagine it'll be often.

    I got one for myself and a bud, and he got a kick out of it, neat as it is.

    I would buy it again and may plan to do so as small gifts for friends.

    The flip light is LED so much brighter and has utilizes replaceable button cells.
    This product serves well as an EDC flashlight in my old Zippo.
    I liked the Ziplight better because if felt better made
    I like the replaceable battery of the flip light but I do not like the button cell.
    When the Ziplight was removed from the market die hards like me opened it up and McGivered an AAA cell to power it.
    The beam on the flip light has a lot of spill and has an omission in the very center. But you want a lot of spill over
    If you are using this light
    Flip light is pricey but if you are Mr.Flashlight you gotta have it
    I am still waiting for Zippo or flip light to come out with "flip store" usb storage for my zippo
    And "flip on" power bank for my Zippo
    And "Flipspray" pepper spray for my zippo
    And for baby boomers "Flip pill" pill holder
    There are better EDC flashlights but none better for your Zippo than Fliplight.
    Note Fliplight assumes you have a zippo lighter that you will remove the lighter guts out of and slip in the Fliplight.
    So if you don't have a zippo lighter better buy that too

    You should not buy this as the led light is clearly mismanufactured. The extremely low illumination is enough to warrant not purchasing, and mine also has a flickering led issue. I tried replacing the batteries, and cleaning contacts, etc. Nothing seemed to work, and after reading more into the reviews I see that many others are having the same issue.
