- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2022Very happy with the purchase. Fit right into the aesthetics of my darts wall.
Quality is good. It's not heavy duty, the unit is light and made of plastic. Maybe not the highest quality plastic, but good.
Installation was easy and simple, no issues. I saw some varying comments on other buyers experiences. For me it went just fine. I attached it to the wall first, then made the adjustments to the laser, tightening it over a few steps to keep it at the proper distance. The laser line projection looks good and is distinct. I've had no problems with it being thrown off while turning it on.
I'm using it with batteries and not the plug. I've only had it for a few days so can't comment on the strength of the laser overtime in relation to draining the batteries.
Overall, I would recommend this laser as a great option. Especially if you're not using an oche mat or similar.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2024I wanted a way to have a throw line but didn't want to stick tape on my carpet. I saw this and thought this would be perfect and it is. The laser is very easy to mount ( the screws are in a bag in one of the battery compartments) and I found it easy to setup.
After I got it mounted below my dart board and dart holders, I tightened the 2 little screws by the laser just enough to have a pretty good drag on the laser head. I had a ruler on the floor marking the spot and distance. I then moved the laser line about 2 inches in front of the ruler on the floor. As I tightened the 2 little screws by the laser, the line moved from the tighting. This is why I set the laser line 2 inches from my mark on the floor. The process of getting the 2 little screws tight enough so the laser head wouldn't move, resulted in the line moving that 2 inches and put it directly on my mark I had on the floor.
Also, just a tip I hope is helpful. If you can try to mount it low enough that the laser doesn't hit you in the face or eye as you walk to the board to get your darts after throwing. Under a dart cabinet, or on the wall a couple feet below your board works great.
Just a thing to note, don't crank down a lot of torque on the 2 little screws that hold the laser steady because it doesn't take much to hold the laser head tight. If you crank down you will strip or break it.
After I got it all setup it's just the slide of a little switch to turn it on or off. The line is easy to see in the daylight, and is a good width. I would say the laser line on mine when turned on is probably a quarter of an inch wide on the floor. I have the AC adapter for mine, but you can run a long time on 4 AA batteries. You can also use rechargeable batteries if you want. The nice thing is the 2 battery compartments are right on the front. This is very convenient and well thought out. You DON'T have to unmount it, change batteries then mount and adjust it again.
So, if you have a dart board setup in a room with carpet, or you don't want tape or anything laying on the floor, then get this viper laser line. It's very convenient and easy to mount and setup. The laser has good brightness so it's easy to see. When you're at the board throwing darts, just slide the switch for an instant line, then when done turn it off until next time. No tape, nothing laying on the floor to step on, the perfect solution.
Viper has a really nice product, and an easy way to get the throw line for darts. I highly recommend this product.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2023This is a great foot marker for darts. The adjustable head is a little too adjustable - it can easily move if you brush against it - but that was an easy fix with superglue once I had picked its final wall location (below the board to shorten the distance the laser beam had to travel)
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2021I picked up this laser line for a BossToss game I have in my basement. It's carpeted so I didn't want to put an adhesive sticker down. I attached it to the wall with command strips and had it running and aligned within a few minutes. It projects a fairly clear line even on carpet with the lights on, so I'm happy. It is even better with the lights dimmed.
This can also run on batteries but I have a feeling using the power adapter will get you a stronger, more consistent line, if you can deal with the wire and have an outlet nearby.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024I loved the ease of installation and adjustment. This would be a must for a carpeted area. I have it shining on a glossy epoxied garage floor, and with the garage lights on it's difficult to see the laser light. It needs to be a little bit brighter. For most uses this would be a five star review I'm sure.
Note: I rewired the lighting in my garage, added a light over my dartboard and changed the above review from 4 to 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2021We decided on this laser line after having serious doubts about applying the provided throw line tape to our downstairs flooring. I considered rugs, etc, to avoid a bright yellow sticker on the floor when I stumbled on the laser throw line.
I opted to have this batter powered rather than via cable, and installation was super easy. While I did install this solo, I would recommend having at least one other person just to help keep the distance and angle correct as you tighten the laser light. I had it perfectly matched up but it moved while tightening, resulting in re-measuring and trying to hold the light in place while tightening the screws.
This light is easily visible in the downstairs area where no natural light really exists and really helps us maintain a nice clean look.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2024Does not show well on carpet or brighter rooms. We use daylight bulbs in that room and it makes the line hard to see. We ended up not using it but if you have hard flooring using normal lights it will likely be fine for you.

Gary McLeodReviewed in Canada on April 1, 20235.0 out of 5 stars Viper laser throw/ toe foul line
What I like about the laser is not having a rubber mat or tape on the carpet.
As you can see in the photo I ended up making a piece of wood under the dart board so it could be screwed into the studs.
I very much dislike using the plastic wall inserts to screw into- they just end up stripping out the drywall and then your left with a couple 1/4 inch holes in the drywall.
The easy way- Throw away the inserts and put up some wood to screw into 2 wall studs. 5 star method!

Works as advertised, can clearly see the line
NPReviewed in Canada on November 6, 20205.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
I installed this to the bottom of the dartboard backboard I built. I remounted the power jack to the back to hide the wires and used double sided foam tape to mount it. Adjusting was easy and the red line is vivid and about 30 inches across. It looks great and performs excellent!

Thought this was a great buy. Fairly discrete if you hide the wires. I hooked mine up to a smart plug so the dart lights and this oche turn on with voice commands. Easy to install. Friends think it's cool. Very happy with this purchase.
