About this item
- The SOUND is much more SOLID because these picks have more MASS. Not those plinky thin-, annoying- and unwanted clacky overtones, but a more pronounced loud-, clear- and BRIGHT tone with lots of BOTTOM-END.
- Your guitar never sounded so full and you never played fast and picked accurately that easy.
- The thickness of the body, coupled with the texture of these picks make it very easy to hold while at the same time, avoiding the need to grip too firmly.
- The thermosetting plastic is very rigid (not bending at all), eliminating any pick drag thereby allowing YOU to control YOUR sound.
- The material also helps avoiding chipped edges, and ensuring months, if not years, of uninhibited, uninterrupted playability. Due to the material and beveled edges ChickenPicks guitar picks are very adaptive to pinch harmonics, which have never been easier to create. The beveled edges allow the pick to glide on and off the strings effortlessly making it easier to play (as compared to a conventional thick- or heavy pick.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2019First off, these Chicken Picks are extremely high quality. Manufacturing picks this precisely is a statement of how much the people at Chicken Picks care about making great guitar picks.
I've only been using this pick for a short time, but other than some gray marks that the guitar strings leave behind, there are no signs of wear. I get the sense that 20 years from now (assuming I don't lose the pick by then) this pick will be exactly the same as it is today.
I admit that I am a bit of a Jazz III fan boy. The Badazz III is clearly Chicken Picks' nod to the Jazz III, but it is not a replica. The beveled edge is different, and it is a slightly wider shape. The design seems geared more towards progressive and metal players rather than jazz. And of course, it would be right at home with some country chicken pickin.
Tonally, the Badazz III is clear and articulate, less on the warm side than the Jazz III, but not as shrill as some other picks of 2mm or more. The attack is not so much chirpy, more like turning a crisp page in a book.
Overall, if you like little jazz-style picks, you owe it to yourself to give these a try.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2021Best guitar pick I have ever used . The badazz with the sharper edge works great when playing articulate phasing . The other chicken picks works well also both are fast and does give you a nicer tone for some reason
- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2018I typically use the black Jazz III stiffs. The ChickenPicks are pretty nice...they definitely provide a harder attack, but I don't know that the price is justified, at least for me. I got them, though, so I'll use them. Who knows...I may try some other products.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2020I had to try these after the hype surrounding them. The picks are very comfortable and sized perfectly for my playing style. They are easy to grip and do not wear quickly. Great pick for the money.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2018They are clumsy on fast picking but very useful for melodic lead players . So they do not suit everyone.
I would say if you’re a lead player give them a try but be ready to send them back. But I can definetly see some players loving them but didnt work for me. I a lot of fast picking and arpeggios but I can see blues lead players really loving them.
So don’t let my three stars rating deter you - give them a try
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2022These are my favorite picks for shredding and fast playing, they have a nice beveled edge. Not so good for acoustic
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2023I have hundreds of guitar picks from nearly all the makers and this one ranks among the worst. They are grossly over priced and way too noisy on the strings and too small. A real rip off in my opinion. I will definitely return them. These are the only picks that I have ever returned.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019In my opinion,A little too big for jazz 3 pick lovers. The bezel gets in the way and a bit too scratchy for my taste, but maybe try manufacturing a special new “ badazz” maybe different color(red?) and shrink down so the bezel is same size( kind of like a jazz 3 hit with the bezel built in? Anyway just my 2 cents. If it were a tad smaller it would definitely be a possible alternative to jazz 3
