Choose your drone path carefully. Do you want speed and agility? Or, a camera that hovers above you.
I chose the latter.
The Flitt is perfect for me. As a photographer, I search for different perspectives. This drone flies with ease; up to about 30 feet, if needed; left, right, backwards, forward. Frame your shot and shoot. The quality is great for a device like this. It can also shoot video.
I hold my Flitt in one palm; use my smartphone in the other, connect by wifi, open the free app to unlock it; take off; make my images; and land it in my hand.
The drone folds into a small shape: about 1x1x6 inches, it feels solid, well built and fits in my camera bag.
The battery lasts a few minutes. I take my Flitt up and down several times between charges. The problem is finding extra batteries. To compensate, I carry a power pack and charge by usb cable as needed.
The good news: If I can do it, anyone can.
If you want to fly high and fast, go elsewhere.
