Beautiful book. Bought this for my niece for Christmas. Just received it and was bummed the first few pages were ripped. Can’t return it now as it’s too close to Christmas to return.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy, good read, great addition to any collection, but inspect when receiving

This is normally $25 at Barnes and Noble, got it for about $17 from Amazon. Great price and great deal. Gold lined pages, blue ribbon bookmark, the paper does feel a bit thin and the font isn't boldfaced so it might be a bit hard to read for some but it was fine for me. The book feels nice and heavy in your hands. There is metallic accents on the front/back of the book and the overall look is of great quality for the price paid. The only thing is during a thumb through,I noticed the back had separated from the binding and there was some missing gold edge along the middle (it looks like it was possibly dropped and gold gilded pages got dented by something) . Amazon made it easy to replace and ship back. That's why it's 4 stars, some people have had similar issues with Canterbury Classic's books
Also they do come with a sticker on the back but you can carefully lift an edge and slowly peel it off without damaging the back as you can see from the pictures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on November 8, 2020
The book itself is gorgeous; from it’s leather bound cover, to the gold sprayed edges this book is worth every penny! It was clearly designed by a book lover as it even includes a ribbon marker sewn into the book so you can easily keep your place in this long (864 pages long, to be exact) classic horror anthology. It begins with a really interesting summary of the background of the horror genre and how some author’s and novels paved the way for the new generation of horror. There are 55 classic horror stories in total included in this book; with novellas from Bram Stoker to Charles Dickens; Edgar Allan Poe to Arthur Conan Doyle; H. P. Lovecraft to Charlotte Perkins Gilman; this book is the perfect addition to any horror-lover’s library.
