I've got a kid who loves Annie's Organics mac and cheese, you know, the pack from Costco. Recently the 12 pack went from $11 on sale to $19. The other day the kids asked for some and I genuinely said, "In this economy??"So after some research, here's what you do:-- Buy this powder.-- Make 1.5 cups (measured dry) of the noodles of your choice.-- Drain the noodles. Set aside.-- Add 1 tsp butter (optional for flavor) to warm pot. Pot will melt it.-- 1/4 cup Cheese Powder-- 1 Tbsp milk (more if you want a runnier consistency).-- Add noodles back to pot and stir.If you get the right noodles, it tastes exactly like the Annie's brand! And it's a fraction of the price!Not that I condone lying, but feel free to save an Annie's box to convince your kid it's the real deal. It works. Don't ask how I know.

    Love the convenience, flavor is good, but not as rich/full flavored as I had hoped, but still good. This may sound weird, but I was in the mood for pasta… really didn’t feel like cooking after a long workday, so boiled some gluten free penne pasta, drained added a little butter to the saucepan tossed in a can of peas and some left over chicken cubed, mixed a little of the cheddar cheese powder and almond milk…once that was heated through added the pasta back in… but it needed a little zippp… so I added some dill and pepper, then squeezed fresh lime over the dish before serving…. It was soooooo good! Don’t be afraid to experiment… so fun and tastey! :) And this cheddar cheese powder has endless possibilities!

    UPDATE: I hadn't made popcorn for a while and when I did, remembered that I had some Anthony's Cheddar Cheese Powder... so I sprinkled a generous teaspoonful over the popcorn that I had put in a Tupperware bowl .. put the lid on and shook it up. Then I died and went to heaven ...OMG! BEST Cheddar Cheese Popcorn EVER!! So in the earlier review I said it was not as rich and full flavored as I had hoped, well... it still works like a charm in a pinch for cooking but OMG... it SHINES when it comes to Cheese Popcorn...that's really where it comes to life... SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD... addictive. I just reread my original post and so glad I did... lol forgot about that dish I threw together... now I have "the recipe" lol. I never use recipes... and love to create and experiment.. but when they are good ... like to keep them. :) Anyway... ENJOY your cheese popcorn..it truly is addictive its that good! :)

    I hesitated for months on ordering powdered cheese from this new brand. I thought maybe this would be the same as many other powdered kinds of cheese being saltier and possibly moldy. I've read a lot of horror stories on other powdered cheese reviews and thought this one may be the same... NOPE. This is probably the BEST powdered cheese available to date!

    This powdered cheese is SOOOO GOOD! It tastes really fresh, like actually orange powdered cheese (I know but most powdered cheese doesn't taste like cheese at all LOL). This reminds me of the old-school mac and cheese powder without that bad aftertaste and chemical taste it has today. This cheese taste as it if was shredded from a block of cheese and transformed into a powder (aka how powder cheese SHOULD taste)!

    It is absolutely PERFECT (I mean perfection) for popcorn it makes air-popped popcorn taste delicious!!! I would use this to make mac and cheese, pasta, popcorn, homemade snacks, and even grits. If you're tired of wasting money on cheese "flavored" cheese than buy this one that actually wins over any other option... you will NOT be disappointed. I'm definitely going to reorder this even though one bag lasts a long time (and not bad on calories). I hope this review helps :)

    We have been trying to recreate the flavor of commercial snacks at home, so we can have them whenever we want without the extra storage space. One of those is a certain brand of hot cheese popcorn, and this - along with some chili and garlic powders - does the trick just fine! This might seem like an expensive product, but that popcorn brand ain't cheap and the amount of product you get in a one-pound container will make a lot of popcorn. Plus, a heaping tablespoon here and there in other recipes - like gravy for instance - adds a nice hint of cheesy flavor. This does not replace cheese in our house, but rather makes cheese flavor possible in applications where fresh cheese would not work. There is another popular brand of powdered cheese, and we bought a pound of each to compare; I would recommend you do the same. While both taste great, they are noticeably different. I would not necessarily choose one brand over the other, and have given both similar reviews. This one seems to win out on our perception of the listed ingredients. I will DEFINITELY be buying more powdered cheese, but the going price will probably be the deciding factor in choosing which to get. Happy eating!

    While it doesn’t taste like the “blue box” cheese, the flavor is really good. I would say it’s more of a mild cheddar than sharp. It’s definitely salty, but not overwhelmingly so. I tasted it by itself on a spoon, with a little water, and then with milk and butter. Tastes like a satisfying powdered cheese that I would happily put into snacks or main dishes. The bag has a zip-seal that won’t re-close, I put the whole thing into a gallon ziplock. Not a problem. I tried just wishing the powder into liquid and it was not the easiest to blend, so I used my stick (immersion) blender. Once again, a non issue.
    I legitimately read all the negative reviews, and while I can see merit in many of the complaints, I’m satisfied, if not slightly giddy about this purchase. I will definitely but again. Truly appreciate that it doesn’t have tons of artificial junk. It’s clearly not “healthy”, but it’s better for you (in my opinion) than some other cheese powder options.
    It’s not going to taste like real/fresh cheese. It’s not neon orange like Cheetos. There was no “off” flavors or chemical aftertaste.
    Without making a “OMG, best product ever” review, it has fully met and exceeded the expectations I had for...powdered cheese product. You may hate it... please send me your bag if so lol
    4-star review was not due to any flaw in the product. I just think most 5-star reviews are phony. So this is a real, albeit it wordy, take. Some Anthony’s products are meh. This was not meh.
