Surprised by all the five star reviews. Looks like directors/producers were huge Tarantino fans, but didn't have the budget to go all out. Supposed "action" other viewers talked about is merely closeup shots of Casper [Hershey] with gun aimed at offscreen target; a body is cut up in the first episode, but again low budget meant only closeup of bloody splatter was shown. Also language is pretty strong for it to be TV-14 rating.
Acting is poor, Script is poor, the whole thing sucks. One moment the suburban has Florida plates and the next it has California plates. I did want to like it but just can not. Reminds me of college students learning to make films. If you enjoy it, great. Sorry but this was not to my liking.
I liked the series but I don't understand why Amazon pay for an incomplete 3 part story that'll probably remain an incomplete 3 part story. t's like a hand job with no shoot off. And I've been seeing this a lot :/
Exceeded expectations! I knew it was going to be badass, but I was pleasantly surprised by the story line. This is such a refreshing change of pace. I loved that the most intense scenes were deafeningly silent, as I'd imagine Casper would be feeling at the time. Really put me in the moment. Fabulous casting as well.
