Sizing is very inconsistent

I absolutely love Carter's. I love these sweaters. Love the style, love the quality, love the colors.
...BUT...these two sweaters are sized very differently. They work for us because one fits now and one will for later, but if I had known this I wouldn't have ordered.

We have an employee who has a baby boy who seems to be growing unusually fast (probably not really, but I haven't had to care for a baby for 22 years, so....it seems fast to me). I wanted to get him some clothes for Xmas, so I purchased a couple of pairs of jeans for him, plus this set, plus another zip-down sweater with animal ears attached to the hood as well.

Firstly, these are SO much better than I expected. I couldn't help but feel a little envious because I don't EVER remember this kind of quality baby wear for so little cost while raising my own children. They are also surprisingly soft.

But of all the clothing I purchased for him, this was the best buy. They do appear to be slightly big for the sizing (I got him 18-24 months), but I have no idea if they shrink when washed, so it might be a good thing that they look a bit big.

I think these are perfect being layered for cold weather, by the way. And because they are clearly well-made, if you get them for your first child, chances are these will survive one child and still be wearable for any others.

I bought these in size 12 month for my son and LOVE THEM! 😍 They are so cute and we’ve gotten tons of compliments on them. My son is 7 months, about 20lbs and 27ish” long and the 12 month fits great. Wish amazon would let me upload a photo of how cute these sweaters are on my son!

These sweaters are gorgeous! I bought a size 18 month for my 12 month old daughter. They are slightly big fir her right now but we just rolled up sleeves ( she is petite for her age). They looked like they cost double what I paid. GREAT BUY!
