Excellent image quality. Better than Flir or Fluke that’s doubles it price. Only some bugs from the Android phone software needs to be corrected to be a 5 star.

Used a Flir E5 for 4+ years. It still functions well but the low resolution, blurred image, and small display are way behind today's tech. Plan to upgrade a Flir E8 or E75 before I happened to see a Fotric 225. Did some research/comparison and decide to give 225 a try. It turned out it is an amazing buy and saved a fortune over the E75.

Pros of 225,
--Large display, much easier to see the details. A real smartphone, Samsung Galaxy J7, 5.5" big screen. App (LinkIR) was pre-installed when I received the package. Tried with my Galaxy S7 and image looks even better on the screen.
--Super easy to use interface. Similar to other Android Apps on the phone. I like the hard button to take an image or record a video. Handheld operation is like using my Canon T6 DSLR camera.
--Adjustable lens, though it is manual focus, I can easily take a clear focused image. (Not available in E8)
--Easy to share the images by messaging. The phone can connect to Wifi. It is a GSM unlocked phone and should work with Att/Tmobile sim card. Tried the share on my S7 and it works well with Facebook and Gmail. Shouldn't have a problem with Instagram and others.
--Can record radiometric video directly on the phone. Good plus feature. --Long camera battery time (10+ hours) after each charge.
--The software is powerful with lots of useful features. It comes with a default report template.
--Analyze the image directly on the phone. Draw a box and spot and no need to edit further on the software. Setting emissivity for different zones is very convenient.

Cons of 225,
--The max/min arrows cannot be hidden completely. Can turn them off in live mode but they come back after the image is taken. Need to hide them in the edit mode. Hope this can be fixed.
--No msx, but the high-resolution image is good enough to see the details.
