The scissors are great. I got a pair of straight ones and a shearing pair. Gave myself a pretty good professional looking haircut in the mirror. Was very happy. Was 99% done and figured the front could be thinned out just a tad more and then it would be perfect. Picked up the shears and made a big clip front and center. Heard an odd zip, kinda like the sound the straight scissors make. Realized it was the straight scissors. Hair looks ridiculous. Almost wish they weren’t so sharp so they wouldn’t go through so much hair so easily.

Still 5/5, but I want to die.

Bought the set of shears to complete my home hair cutting kit for cutting my 3 year old son and husband’s hair. I’ve had this for 2 years now and it is still super sharp as the day I bought it. I cut myself pretty bad as I was cleaning it once but didn’t instantly realize it due to the surgical sharpness of the edge. Granted, I use it sparingly at an average of 2x ( sometimes 3x) a month in the 2 years since we got it. It still works like new, easy to clean with a rag and some oil on the hinges. It has a great weight to it and the rubber bumpers on the finger holes make it comfortable to use. Definitely happy with these shears and 100% recommend it to anyone wanting a pair for home use.

I don't usually ever write negative reviews but for the sake of someone else here it is. Don't buy these. The photos are a scam you receive items that do not look nearly as nice as they do in the picture. Yes you receive the items but they arrived to my house dirty and in a dirty box it look like they had been on a stock room floor for years sitting. The scissors are not the quality they are showing. This is false advertising and stealing in my opinion. Please don't buy these. I don't write negative reviews normally I don't waste my time or bother but I don't want this to happen to someone else because they're $40 and it's a pain to have to return the product and go to UPS and then have to find other scissors anyway. I'm going to try Sally's beauty supply or a real hair supply company legitimate. DON'T BUY THESE.

So I might be a bit dense. Or maybe I’ve just never used such quality tools. I kept trimming my hair and thought the scissors weren’t cutting because their was no sound or tensile feedback. When I looked into the sink, I saw plenty of cut hair. These were so sharp that I couldn’t hear or feel them cut! It was a little scary to be honest. Anyway, the thinning shears were fun to use. I’ll need some time to figure them out. They seem to work well though. Highly recommend!

They cut well but blue inserts fall out when using the thinning shears

The scissors themselves work really well, and so far I am pleased with them. The blue inserts in the thinning shears fall out while I am cutting, which is not at all good. They stay put in the regular shears, though. I messaged the seller and they said they could not send me new inserts, but said they will notify QC and said they are giving me $2 off.

They said I do not "need" to return them, but it really is annoying to try to cut and then the inserts fall out. I had to remove the inserts when I cut, which is way less comfortable. II would really rather have shears that are comfortable to use and may try to exchange or return them, if this gets too annoying.

Update: They sent me a message saying that they will send me a replacement for the entire pair of scissors and I do not even have to send back the other one. I updated a review to 5-stars and will notate on review , when new scissors are received. This was very nice of them.

Update: I just got my new pair of thinning shears, yesterday. The inserts are fine. I am very happy with the customer service I received.
