About the Author

Scott has helped thousands of consumers, in 46 states, obtain quality long-term care insurance. In 1995, Scott started as a career agent with John Hancock in Tampa, Florida. In 1999 he became a part-time caregiver for a close relative. His care-giving duties prevented him from meeting with clients "at their kitchen table". To support his family he had to learn how to sell long-term care insurance over the phone and he's been doing it that way ever since.

Long-term care insurance is a once-in-a-lifetime purchase when done properly. Most consumers have no frame of reference for what kind of benefits they want or need. Scott works with each client at their own pace. Some clients know exactly what they want and are ready to buy immediately while others may take months to consider the various options.

Scott was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University. He majored in Computer Science. He began his insurance career in the mid-eighties with an agency specializing in funding pension plans with group annuities. Scott then switched gears and spent four years doing charitable work in a developing country. In 1995 he re-entered the insurance industry focusing exclusively on long-term care insurance.
