The design is great! The main compartment that's attached to the rollers has adequate space to store a couple days worth of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes. Although it lacks any compression straps, the zippered mesh flap does an excellent job in keeping everything secured.
The upper compartment I typically use for a suit, and some other items that I might need immediate access too through the convenient front flap. It also contains a zippered mesh flap that holds everything in place.
The top compartment is perfect for your quick reaches. I typically store my liquids bag, watch, wallet, lip balm, and phone throughout the journey through the airport. Once I'm ready to go through security, it's super quick to reach in there and grab the liquid bag out and speed through the metal detectors.
Finally, the front lid pocket is convenient for folders, receipts, magazines, maybe even a laptop or Ipad. Once packed, there's not a lot of room in there, but if you need a quick place to store your itinerary, or some magazines, this is the pocket to do it in.
Durability so far is exceptional! The roller is made with high quality fabric that doesn't scuff or show wear too easily. The skateboard wheels are smooth and quiet when on hard surfaces, but given their width, they offer some resistance when pulling through thicker piled carpet. The back is also made out of a high quality plastic that does great when ramming it into curbs or up steps. The design also protects the retractable handle which makes it for smooth, care free operation.
The looks are sleek! I've gotten many compliments on this carry on through my recent journeys. Matched with one of their pass-through messenger bags, this combo is unstoppable for a weekly warrior.
As another reviewer noted, this bag is probably not a great performer for suit jackets. However, I'm not docking any stars as—given the newest restrictions—I don't really see how any bag could be. I'm thinking it's time to get used to touching up your suits or checking your bag.
Very happy with this purchase.
As far as the product goes, it offers a lot of organization features which are great for keeping your stuff separated and it is very good at keeping things securely in place to the netting inside the bag.
The bag looks professional while also not looking boring and bland at the same time. Whether at an airport or hotel, I haven't seen another bag that others have that I'd rather have.
The only thing that I am not a fan of (also not really a design problem, just the way my brain works I guess) the direction that the bag opens. For some reason I always seem to plan on it opening the opposition direction. Not sure why, probably my fault or had bags in the past that opened from the other side.
Above all I'm happy with this purchase and would recommend this bag to others. I really also like the wheel design that seems like it will be very sturdy and it also seems like if you wanted, you could by a pair of regular skateboard wheels to replace the original if they were to ever wear out. Definitely a lot better design that the usual brittle swivel wheels that I never really liked.
