I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, I also bought the book. This is another winner for Isadora Montrose. I haven't read a book of hers that I haven't loved and this is no exception (I have everything she has written.) The Mystic Bay series is wonderful. In this book a wounded war hero comes to a wedding of his friend and sees his fated mate. The main problem is Anton is a bear and Serena is a mermaid (hunters and pray don't usually work well.) To make matters worse Her father is the Mer-King and absolutely is against mixing species. Anton is ready to save Serena from a kidnapping but she saves herself. Anton will do anything to convince Roger, Serena father that he is worthy of Serena. There is adventure and laughs and love in the book. One nice thing is while there is some sex it is not pages and pages of descriptions of it. I would urge any one who loves shifter stories to read this book.

** spoiler alert ** Anton knows the instant her sees her that Serena is his mate. Serena can't help longing for a man she shouldn't want. Her father is determined to keep them from marrying. Will Anton be able to find the Mer-Kings lost treasure? Will Serena's family be able to heal?

Loved how these two weren't going to let things stop them if they could help it. Have to admit that even though Serena followed what her father said and her promise, I loved how she found other ways to be with her mate. Absolutely loved how Anton was determined to do anything he could to win the hand of his mate! Great read!
