I was a little hesitant about ordering these drops, but I’m glad I did. I bought them so I get get a little tan before heading to the beach for Mother’s Day. My product came within hours. I showered, I didn’t exfoliate anything. Grab my favorite lotion and added 3 drops. I chose the Darker one cause I wanted a more darker look. For my face I did do 2 drops, might try doing three. I didn’t see too much of a difference on my face. However I did notice a difference on my body. It says you can safely use this product everyday till you get the tan you desire. Mind you I watched lots of YouTube and TikTok before application. I didn’t not wash my hand immediately after and started getting some discolor. Nothing some baking soda can’t fix. My first reaction I wasn’t seeing a difference it did take 4-6 hours before I noticed some color. Doesn’t have that nasty smell like some other products, and doesn’t stain my clothes.

Over the last week I’ve compared 3 products (Isle of Paradise, St Tropez, and Coco & Eve). Isle of Paradise was the clear winner for me. It gave me the most noticeable (yet still natural-looking) tan and was not streaky or smelly. This was my first time self-tanning and even without the color guard it was pretty easy (just make sure to go easy on the feet & ankles). Plus without the color guard I don’t have to worry about staining my clothes. I’m an Isle of Paradise stan from here on out!

Loved the color it gave me and so easy to put on - literally no streaks! - but unfortunately I failed to patch test and developed a significant and serious rash over my entire body (urgent care, steroids, etc.). I had very high hopes because of the reviews and ease of application and I genuinely loved the color, so just make sure you properly do a test 24 hours before you want to fully apply. One star less only because it’s not organic (dr. said to be careful as it has chemicals, specially DHA, re the tanning color that you could be allergic or react to).

These drops are a total game changer! They were recommended to me by a coworker who uses the medium shade. We work in an office and wear a lot of dresses, skirts, etc. so these drops really come in handy when you’re in need of a little extra color. I use them head to toe with my moisturizer/body lotion and it really does give a seamless natural tan if applied correctly. The trick is to blend the drops with your moisturizer in your hands before applying it evenly and really rubbing it in more than you think you need to, then thoroughly cleaning your hands (especially the creases between fingers) when you’re done. Great price for how long the bottle lasts.

I'm absolutely convinced the bad reviews are in relation to a bad batch.
I've used this stuff for years and it's fantastic.
I've tried just about every fake tan there is, lots of them go orange or streaky or stink, but not this.
It's amazing!
I'm Spanish so have olive skin anyway, and in Winter I use 2 drops of the green medium one in my face and neck moisturiser before bed and wake up looking like I've had a week in the Caribbean.
There is NO bad smell, no greasiness or stickiness.
My skin is incredibly sensitive and this doesn't sting or cause breakouts.
When it's on offer for around £10 it's a bargain.
I've bought it from Boots, Superdrug and Amazon and have never had a faulty one.
Maybe buy it from a store to ensure you don't get an out of date one if you're concerned about the few bad reviews as I was.

Don’t think this works, I am very pale and used it twice (3 drops every time). Nothing has changed at all! The lid is slightly different to the one in the picture and the bottle smells a little bit like spices or some kind of food... Im not too sure this is the authentic product.

i love isle of paradise so much i use it all the time which is why when i opened this i immediately knew something was wrong, actually green, edges of the label were yellowing, brown blobs in the liquid, no way i’m putting this on my face, i compared with my friends normal one and this one is so green. Deff reccomend isle of paradise as a tan but don’t buy from here buy somewhere else, they better give me a refund.

A tan with odor

Ok so let’s get to the point. This tanning lotion smells pretty bad. It’s definitely a bad odor once it reacts with my body’s oils and scent. It’s so bad I try to time applying this lotion when my husband is away for the day so he doesn’t have to deal with it until I wash it off for the evening.

Now saying that… it really works. I use a generic lotion with a spout thing, so I use two drops for every pump of the lotion. I control how much I use by basing the pumps of lotion to different sections of my body. Doing this means it’s as even as possible throughout my body. Almost 10min it’s in you can start seeing a glow and after several hours my body is a great golden tan versus my light/medium blonde haired skin tone.

So if you’re willing to hate your own scent for a few hours to get a great tan then this is for you. I actually love it and love it as an alternative to a tanning bed or spending thousands on a vacation and sunburn.

Brilliant tan but still has odour

I have very light skin and find that moisturising tanning lotions are best. I am really happy with this product as it can be used on the body and face as well as being easier to control the amount of tan with the number of drops. I have been using this with the ultimate blends honey body lotion and with the L’Oreal hydra genius moisturiser for my face. I put it on after showering and use about 3-4 drops to two pumps of body lotion for a golden tan. I was unsure whether the light would produce a good tan, but for my skin tone it works really well. It does have a lingering tan smell however but it isn’t too strong or unpleasant. The tan lasts about 3 days and the smell will disappear after washing. I find it takes around 1 hour for the tan to develop but can be noticed after maybe 30mins. I only use one drop for my face, and sometimes I just use the left over product on my hands mixed with some face moisturiser as I think the excess product on my hands once made my face more tanned than I expected. I think it’s worth the money and I’ve gotten 5 full body applications out of it so far.
