Apply Your LubeTo start with, you'll want to apply Forkboost to the base of your fork stanchions. The best way to do that is to drip it directly onto the stanchion just above the dust seals on your fork. If you're using it on a rear shock, flip the bike upside down and apply lube just above the dust seal. |
Pump Your SuspensionOnce your Forkboost is applied, push down your handlebars to work your fork through its full range of motion. For rear shock application, sit on your saddle and compress the suspension to work the Forkboost lubricant into the shock. You should see some grime show up on the stanchions. |
Clean It All OffNow you can get rid of all that dirt that's been giving your rough, draggy suspension feel. Using a microfiber cloth, wipe off any visible grime on the stanchions and clean up any excess Forkboost on the fork. Now your bike's suspension is clean, supple, and ready to tackle the toughest trails! |

The problem is that when you use the oil to lubricate the suspension it lubricates so well that the rebound gets messed up. I normally use the rebound on both (fork and Shox) very slow, well, after applying the oil and lubricate the shaffts (legs) of the fork and the shox, the return is very very fast, just like if I were to setup the rebound to the fastest. so I didnt like that at all.
Just be aware that this could happen to you too.
I don't know what miracle lube ingredients this stuff has, but it works. The Revelation stiction is gone, and the fork now fully extends and is plush. Use your finger to spread a small amount close to the wiper seals, work the fork, spread the excess on the stanchions and wipe it dry with a soft clean rag. I also use it on the dropper seat posts, and rear shocks. I don't thinks this lube is meant to replace the manufacturer's scheduled maintenance requirements.
I also wanted to note that I have an old hardtail mountain bike that I purchased used after it had been sitting outside through the winter. The fork was grimy, but not knowing any better I thought it was just grease and that it was supposed to be there. Rode it for years without a second thought before I realized that it wasn't supposed to be covered in dark slime. So I removed the fork, gave it a good cleaning, and then used this lube to help remove any additional grit and keep things moving well. I've never felt this fork move so well - it's like it's brand new! Highly recommend this product to help maintain your investment.
What I found this to be 100% necessary is for my dropper post. My dropper has always been a touch wonky. It works, but sometimes it needs some extra love to get it to operate properly. This is that extra love. If I do a quick clean off, add this to the post, cycle up and down a few times and then wipe off the excess, my next ride has zero dropper issues. Zero. None. Up and down as it should. If I don't use this, after about 3 rides, the dropper will go back to getting wonky. For that alone, 100% worth it.
All these forks have worked awesome alone. After adding the WPL Forkboost Lube to my dirt jump forks. I noticed a significant improvement in rebound, compression, and most of all; smoother action through the entire travel. Best of all there is a noticeable lubricant seal around the actual fork seals now.
Only cons, (If I can really call them that?) are that I have to spray some degreasing cleaner on the fork stanchions to keep them from collecting dust particles. The second would be that I do have apply the ForkBoost semi-regularly as it seems to breakdown after a few good sessions.
Overall great product and highly recommend it! Especially for the price. Can't go wrong.💯🤙🏻
