I don't know why I thought these would be not only brighter, but certainly whiter than stock HIDs. They may even be dimmer than stock. Definitely, more yellow...like 3500-4000k, nowhere near 5k. These did nothing for me and were a waste of time purchasing. They have gone back to Amazon. If you want just a new stock bulb, nothing better, than please proceed. Couldn't comment on longevity. I agree with a previous review....seems to be a marketing hook, line, and stinker. To each is own. I'll continue the search for a better HID or somehow figure out the LED retrofit.

    I needed a replacement for my daughter's 2009 CRV, so I purchased this 2-pack of OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER LASER H1 bulbs. I replaced the dead bulb, and there was a noticeable difference in brightness. The entire process to do both bulbs took maybe 15 minutes once I figured out how to get a grip on the driver's side, which is snugged up about an inch from a fuse box. Very happy with the increased brightness, and they're a good value.

    I bought a used 2005 Honda CR-V EX for my daughter. One of the low beam headlight bulbs was out. So, I decided to replace both low and high beam bulbs. Since they all use H1 bulbs, I chose these Osram Night Breakers. Having experience with using them on my former 1994 Land Cruiser, I decided to use them on the CR-V. I did not want to go the LED route, like many people do for brighter lights.

    This is for a sport-touring motorcycle. Night vision is very important, and after buying many halogen bulbs these are the best in my opinion and are reasonably priced. Bluish bulbs may look good (a matter of taste) but they actually filter light and reduce output. Some ridiculously expensive "custom" bulbs are actually worse.

    I cannot comment on longevity yet. As far as ease of installation, it is the same as any other H1 bulb.

    I once tried fitting HID aftermarket bulbs in this motorcycle. The percieved light output was impressive, but the beam geometry was incorrect and could annoy or blind incoming drivers, as is often the case when the headlight was not specifically designed for HID bulbs. Went back to Osrams.

    Perhaps one day there will be LED bulbs that will actually outperform halogens as drop-in replacements, but I am not convinced yet by what I see on the market.
