Honeycrisps are my favorite apples, hands down. I was so excited to get a full bag of them, delivered today.
Sadly, nearly all of them arrived with major bruises and rotting all over them (see photos). Also, they are very, very small. The honeycrisps I know and love are usually very large.
The bruises almost certainly were not a delivery issue, as the apples weren't sitting under anything heavy, and the paper bag they were delivered in arrived in pristine shape.
In amazon's defense, the honeycrisps I ordered individually, just last month, arrived in much better shape, and were jumbo sized. They were also sweet, juicy, and crispy.as honeycrisps should be. I will likely stick with buying them individually in the future, so long as I can't pick out the bags myself, as there is less likelihood of getting so many bad ones.

Bought 3 lb bag and also several individual Honeycrisp apples to compare. Size between the two are similar (see photo comparison). Two (out of 10) apples from the 3 lb bag (organic Rainier brand) had minor bruising (shown in close up photo). Taste of Honeycrisp apples from 3 lb bag is good. The taste of the individually sold Honeycrisp apples is better. I would buy the 3 lb again, however if the individual apples are available I would pick those first.
