Product Description
What’s the best time of day to take Collagen Protect?
You can drink Collagen Protect during the day or at night. It depends on your personal preference!
Can Collagen Protect be used in hot drinks?
Absolutely! We recommend using a blender to fully mix our vegan collagen powder and make your collagen recipes smooth and creamy.
What is the best source of collagen for vegans?
Since collagen is a structural protein sourced from animals, it’s not possible to purchase vegan collagen on the market. We recommend plant-based ingredients that are collagen builders, support skin health, or protect your natural collagen.
How much collagen is in Collagen Protect?
Consisting of only three ingredients (tocos, silver ear mushroom & edible hyaluronic acid) our formula focuses on improving the body's natural collagen production to maintain healthy collagen levels.
How much hyaluronic acid and silver ear mushroom is there per serving?
Edible hyaluronic acid is included at 120mg per serving while silver ear mushroom is included at 2450mg per serving.

If you're on the fence about this product, I would take the leap and order a jar. The rave reviews on Moon Juice's website are no joke.
The problems? Three-fold. First, this product seems unreasonably expensive, but I bought it anyway for its vegan magnesium and vitamin D content. Second, it works great as a boost to blended iced drinks, but doesn't work well for its advertised function, serving as a hot coffee creamer. Third, and most concerning, there is the issue of arsenic. There are studies that the process of extracting rice bran solubles concentrates the arsenic already found in rice. The bad news is that the soluble portion (tocos) lacks the insoluble fiber in brown rice to help pass it through the colon. If the company could share lab results indicating that the arsenic levels are safe, I would probably purchase it again. But as is, the health trade off of some extra nutrients for a dose of arsenic doesn't seem worth it.
