Charcoal prolongs the life of soil media by balancing pH levels and sweetening the soil of potted plants and terrariums. The porous nature of Charcoal self-regulates excess moisture in any container while absorbing essential nutrients. Charcoal is a great additive to any container as it keeps things fresh and properly drained. This stuff works. I’d over watered some indoor potted plants. On repotting, I realized the roots were in danger of rotting. I put the charcoal into the bottom of the pot…over stones…and my plants are all thriving now.

There r so many uses 4 this stuff. I used some in my potted plants. (Keeps the soil cleaner.) I also used this in my aquarium 2 help make it clean n clear. (I filled a hanging tea ball). This charcoal is a little chunkier than I’m used to but it’s great. I like a chunky mix and this adds to it. Easy to mix into whatever you’re planting in. Helps keep bacteria down. It’s a dry product. Not moist. There was a bit of charcoal dust that cones along with it so I suggest not using your hands to move it around or level it. Your hands will be black when you’re done. Glives will help prevent that bu also suggest wearing a mask when pouring it into a container. It’s a great value. Easy to use. Just mix it into your substrate.
