I live in the desert. I needed something shady for my vehicle as it’s all black exterior and interior. But what’s perfect is it also acts as a shade for my dining room! Double wooo!! Now personally idc that it’s water resistant. That’s the whole reason it’s called a SUN shade lol. So if you live in a predominantly hot, sunny, lack of moisture state, I think this would be perfect for you! But if you are okay with the rain or wetness, then put the shade at an angle so the water can fly off. I also love the color and the stitching. It feels really sturdy! Now just to test it on our really strong wind days 😬 I’ll update as soon as that day comes!

We hung ours on a deck between house a garage, to give Grandchildren an area to play with getting sun burned.
This seems to be working great, they have a sand box, water table, and mini kid pool under it and have been playing under it for several weeks now without getting burned. Since this has been very hot weather for us, most days + or - 90, in central NY, I am very happy with purchase.
Even seems to help the enclosed porch it's attached to stay cooler than usual.
A light rain seemed to roll off but heavier rains come through fabric, it's held up during severe thunderstorms even with excessive high wind. Very happy, would purchase again.

We used this on our deck for shade for the kids to play under. It was pretty easy to put up, but you do have to buy hooks separately. The 12x12 was not big enough so we stacked a 2nd one and it's perfect and looks cute. It's not super thick, so water comes thru but blocks the sun.

This shade sail works well. Just a couple of things that bug me. First, it not as thick as I thought it would be but that’s my fault for not researching the various thicknesses available. It still supplied a decent shade though. The other thing is after one day it seemed to have stretched out a bit because now it’s sagging some so we will have to figure out a way to take out the slack. All in all, it’s okay but if you need something very sturdy I would look at commercial grade. I would buy again for just temporary set ups but not to use for an extended period of time.

Bought a 6x10 sail and hardware for just under $40...installed to fill a gap in a pergola that fills with direct sun and blasts plants and people...nicely made sail n hardware...as soon as i installed i felt the temp drop on the patio on a 90 degree day and plants happy to get shade...test fitted with small screw-in hooks i have to get corner angles right. Looks great n love it!

I've not had this up for a very long time. BUT, so far so good. I've not had it a full summer. It takes the worst of the glare away, however if you are looking for a thick shade that actually casts a shadow, this is not it. I love it, because it doesn't make everything dark and dingy. It gives me a little cooling, and as I say, it takes the glare off. It is well made and a good quality. I would recommend.
