"A rare book" - Dan John, author of Easy Strength and Never Let Go
Consistency is key
The most important rule of effective training is to be consistent. However, it is surprisingly easy, and human, to break this rule. Training wisdom is about recognizing and prioritizing the most important training principles and not getting distracted by secondary issues.
In The Little Black Book of Training Wisdom, Dr Dan Cleather - an elite strength and conditioning coach - describes the fundamental training principles in a simple and accessible way. In addition, he highlights some of the most common training pitfalls so they can be avoided. The book is a must for anyone who wants to learn how to build dominant athletic prowess by working smarter not harder.
"Dan cuts through the intellectual rubbish bin that has dominated our field for the last few decades and gives us clarity and insight." - Dan John

The book is well-written and easily accessible without an overuse of jargon and any industry jargon is well-explained when first introduced.
The last few chapters are easily the best - eminently readable with great advice, which you can immediately take into your chosen sport.
tldr: be consistent!

An excellent read, provides enormous practical insight into training concepts, l think we benefit so much when we know and understand what it is we are actually trying to achieve when training.

However, the book is poorly made, pages fall out and come away from the spine at nearly every page turn. I may end up having to hole punch and put into a folder as I am close to having a collection of loose sheets. Poor production quality!

A must read!
