These books are awesome. Always jam packed with action, adventure, style and romance. I adore her little dog and her ability to kick butt! Please keep writing more about her adventures and her life.

Overall I enjoyed this series. I don't doubt the author knows quite a bit about haute couture, fine dining, and the lifestyles of the (insanely) rich and famous, but if she's going to write spy novels she also needs to know something about firearms and their use.

Before tossing around "Glock" and "Sig" like she knows what they are, the author needs to spend some time in gun classes and on a gun range learning about them. First of all, semiautomatic handguns do NOT use a "clip." They use magazines (or if you want to try to sound hip, "mags"). Yes, there is a difference and misusing the terms shows a lot about how much (or how little) someone knows about guns. And carrying spare magazines (or "clips") in your pocket or purse isn't enough. You actually have to change them from time to time if you're in a gunfight.

Also, in spite of what you may see on TV or in movies, most guns with silencers do not go "choo" (or "pffft"). Unless they are small caliber guns firing subsonic ammunition (which a professional assassin or mobster would never use), they still go "bang!", just not as loud as an unsilenced gun. Actually firing a silenced weapon (or having one demonstrated to her) would have prevented this misconception from being perpetrated.

Attention to details like these are what differentiate good books from really good books. Hopefully she'll pay more attention to the small details in future books.

The Poppy Fields Adventure Series is pure "mind candy" which is what I call a book that just grabs you from the first page & keeps your attention throughout. When you've finished one, you're ready for the next. Julie Mulhern is definitely a favorite.

What do you do to forget about finding your dead ex in bed? Of course you accept an invitation to attend a blow-out launch at a Mexican resort. Too bad the itinerary includes kidnapping and murder. This is a fast-paced story with quirky characters and lots of danger. I recommend it highly, in fact my husband is reading it now.
