Cap is damaged

Cap is damaged
The liquid did not leak out because of the foil top. The cap has two places where it is broken. It looks like maybe it was damaged in a machine. To properly seal the contents once I break the foil seal I need a plastic cap which is not damaged. This product was packaged in a box stuffed with paper and the box was not damaged so I tend to think the cap was damaged when placed in the box. Also the damaged cap was not screwed on the bottle it was loose as pictured.

I like the product enough to use it in very small quantities (1/4 teaspoon) in combination with other root beer flavorings to make root beer. I make a tea base using sarsaparilla and sassafras roots. I add vanilla and sugar and just a small amount of this extract just to round out the root beer flavor. I use it in conjunction with other root beer flavoring products found on Amazon. It is a nice addition to enhance the root beer flavor in the recipe, but I would not use it as the primary root beer flavoring due to the artificial maple syrup flavor profile and smell.

The only thing I wish it had was a little dropper to go with it cuz it's hard just to get a drop or two. It usually pours out no matter how careful you use it.
