    Very interesting string-type. I've tried these with a couple different pickup types; single-coils and humbuckers. Something about how these push the mids give a great rock 'n' roll sound with my Strat. They seem to last long too with a nice "under-finger" feel. Worth checking out! Sounded nice with my humbuckers too, but for single-coil aficionados, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

    I have an old Ibanez solid Perspex Dan Armstrong copy from the Lawsuit years, it's not the highest quality guitar but it does have fairly good sustain from the two humbuckers installed. the problem has always been to get a bright sound. the guitar has a very mellow tone and I end up playing at the bridge a lot of the time. these strings have improved things no end, I can understand why if you have a very bright guitar already these might be too much and sound really tinny but on mine they are brilliant. They have also significantly reduced how tight i have to have the strings ( I have no idea how a previous reviewer managed to break 2 ) but despite this there is no buzz from my high E string which happens with many strings as the nut groove is worn and strings sit very low. These strings still deliver as much sustain as previously if not a little more so I'm really happy with them. Excellent.

    I’m a recent convert to Rotosound’s and got this set for my Gretsch 6120. Sound as you’d expect, nice and clear and hold their tuning well even with a Bigsby.
