Great quality and the size and density is really what you need for heavier guitars and most basses. I have a 9.5# Les Paul and I first got a thinner Fender strap that looked great and felt great but with heavier guitars really bounced up and down like 10 inches. worked and looks great with my 7.4# Strat though. However back to this one it really helps, the combo of width and thickness for sure is a break for your back and shoulder very stable and no annoying bounce. The locking ends are pretty cool they may look a little clunky but actually work well and are easy and convenient.

Buckle snapped in half while I was playing after 5 months of light usage.
Was using this exclusively for my Les Paul, which weighs ~10 lbs. I only play at home, play standing roughly half the time I play, and when I do stand, I'm not jumping around or doing anything that would put stress on the strap. Also have other guitars in my rotation, so my LP gets played ~30% of the time. Just snapped while I was playing, and luckily I was in a position to catch my guitar. Seeking a refund.
Edit: refund denied by seller, told to contact Ernie Ball directly. Customer support form on Ernie Ball's website doesn't work. at this point not worth my time to call their hotline and try to get my money back.
Just a warning for all of those considering this strap or anything else from Ernie Ball. I won't be buying anything made by Ernie Ball in the future.

Originally it was intended for an electric guitar. I quickly realized that this strap can really take a lot of strain off a heavier instrument, so naturally I moved it to something heavier, in this instance to P style bass. I tried it on some light instruments and it's really overkill, but it did come in handy after a back injury. Used on a semi-hollow to remove as much strain as possibly on an already light electric guitar. It legitimately helped.
The feel is very nice. Super comfortable strap even directly on skin. Very light weight material, but super strong at the same time. Not the most breathable material, but not the worst. Personally I can live with that considering how awesome everything else is.
The locking system is solid. In fact, it's so solid, that the first time I went to remove it, I was afraid I was going to pull the strap button out. Obviously I'm exaggerating, you can unclip without damaging your instrument, it's just the sensation of this the first time was unsettling, I didn't expect the locking system to be that solid. It is extremely sturdy and I am not afraid of having it come out accidentally. Very secure without changing hardware, big plus in my opinion.
You can tell right away this a premium item. It is a pricier strap, but a really good one, no denying that.
